NEOS Mech Bay 001 and NEOS "Reaperlord" Heavy Walker
Because it reigns death. Mech bay inspired by the works of Eric Sophie. Enjoy!
About this creation
After getting a bunch of discounted Prince of Persia sets, I realized that I hadn't built a good sized mech in a long time. After the mech was done, I realized that I had the bricks to build a mech bay, and thus the NEOS Mech Bay 001 was born.

Featuring an overhead light brick for dramatic effect. :)

The mech bay in full light. Not as cool, but easier to see online.

There are platforms on all three stories to aid in repairing and refitting the large war machine.

A closer look at the diagnostic zones. As you can see, Anonymous Grunt Arbitrarily Turning Knobs #1 and #2 are hard at work.

Level 3, the boarding level. Reserved for pilots only.

A robotic repair arm. Fancy.

The pilot descends the catwalk, preparing to enter his beloved death machine. It's like a video game, except you don't have to wait to level up to get all the good stuff.

A commando oversees the repairs of the "Reaperlord".

Antennas and crap.

Diagnostic deck 2.

Diagnostic deck 1.

Toolboxes, containing tools and parts for repairs.

Replacement parts line the walls of the mech bay. A complicated machine such as a battle mech requires constant maintenance.

Extra engine assemblies.

A small armory located in the rear of the bay is present in case of a security breach.

A repair drone doing some precision welding.

A repair drone inserting a fueling tube.

Another drone, pushing an ammunition trolley.

Yet another dro- Hey, how did that get there?

Even when the mech bay is empty, the workers are still busy cleaning up, repairing the spent equipment, and charging fuel cells for when the mech returns.

Now onto the "Reaperlord" heavy walker.

The "Reaperlord" is a short-range walker, designed mainly as a counterattack vehicle.

The combination of its long, agile legs and massive amounts of heavy, wide-area weaponry allow for the "Reaperlord" to enter battle, unload hell, and quickly return to base so the smaller NEOS units can regroup before the next wave approaches.

Looks like the pilot has spotted a target...

The main missile rack contains a total of eight incendiary mortar shells, four armor-piercing, high-velocity strike missiles, and three long-range seeker missiles.

The back of the main missile rack boasts two tactical nukes. Use only against full-scale invasion armies, or on the 4th of July.

The top features even more missiles: Four experimental cryogenic shells and two anti-air seeker missiles.

Hey, look! More missiles!

The creators of the "Reaperlord" decided that they needed a little more weapons diversity so the pilot doesn't get bored. An anti-matter heavy Gatling gun was the next deadliest thing. It also gives a fairly decent "BWAHAHA!" factor to the walker.

Rear view. Not particularly well-armored, but the general idea was that no enemy would make it past the front of the "Reaperlord", so it would be a waste of resources.

Leg detail.

The slight amount of grebles present on the mech are only where weapons wouldn't fit.

Cockpit. Slightly roomy for comfort.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's... well, it's dust now...

That's a pretty amazing job. I really like the design for the Mech bay. It looks much more detailed and sturdy than the one I built. Sadly, it looks like some of the pictures have been lost.

Excellent! Great job on details - robotic repair arm, replacement parts, extra engine assemblies,drones..I especially like welding drone! As for mech - I like the feel of light, fast moving machinery which is heavy and robust at the same time. Also very nice combination of colors :)

Quoting Mithryl Dlarix You've really got talent for capturing a scene and a moment in time like that. Great job! The mech is awesome stuff. My favorite part was the flip-up missiles!
Thanks! The missiles were my favorite part too, mainly because most people don't expect there to be MORE missiles. :)

Quoting yama masa Very impressive. I always wanted to see something like this. I was inspired by your creation, I might gonna create something close to yours. Is it ok? Of course, I'll give credit...
It's always good to hear someone is inspired by my work, but as I said in the intro, my work was inspired by Eric Sophie. Give him credit if anyone. His bays are amazing.

I dig it! Mostly because of how ridiculously armed it is. I mean, its got what...28 missiles? Not to mention that gatling gun. If anything gets past it, I would be surprised. I suppose that the only way to get past it would be to destroy it, but that seems hard to do also.

Quoting Max Watson It's awesome. now, for some (kinda) constructive criticisim. 2, you should color-coordinate the worker/droid suits with the mech's color scheme, or vise versa. 3, if you plated the ramp, why not everything else? Other than that, it's truly spectacular. (that might not mean much coming from me, but whatever.)Wait, where'd 1 go? oh yeah, how in the world did you manage to get the ankles to support that thing!?!?!?
Everything was done for a reason. The droids are NEOS standard units, and so they follow the blue accent theme. The SNOT, well, it's a big area. Maybe if it survives until BrickCon I'll tile it up. And the ankles are actually one of the stronger points in the legs. Technic beams and headlight bricks really work well together. Thanks for the review!

Wow, that mech bay is really sweet, all the detail work really makes the whole thing as good as it is. The mech was brilliant, although there was one thing that looked a little weird, and that was the legs. Other than that minor casualty, I say bravo. ~Waff

Quoting CEO Luiz Camargo I envy you sir... You have a mech bay and I don't... Well, whatever. Nice work in this one, brilliant details like the welding bot and the robotic arm. Tell me, the legs are stable?
Mostly, moving the mech around and picking it up doesn't pose a problem, but posing it is kind of a pain.
