Jerusalem v.2
Set in AD 40, this 24 by 24 micro diorama is a remake of a previous version. The new design features the previously omitted Kidron Valley and Garden of Gethsemane. Credit to the ESV Study Bible for image sourcing. Please explore and enjoy the numerous details in this historical diorama!
About this creation
Jerusalem was the epicenter of Israel and Judaism throughout much of history. As mentioned, this diorama pictures the great city in AD 40, right before it was destroyed by the Romans. This image points out some of the key historic details in model. The previous version of the diorama can be found here.

The Temple, situated on the Temple Mount structure, was the focal point of the Jewish religion.

Pictured here are Antonia Fortress, the Roman station over Jerusalem, and the Pool of Israel.

The Kidron Valley was a very fun part of this build. The geography around Jerusalem is truly very interesting.

The Garden of Gethsemane is located on the Mount of Olives, a sabbath day's journey from Jerusalem.

Of course, I could not leave out the catacombs beneath the Temple Mount. Remove the Temple Mount structure, and beneath it lies a network of passageways that may contain many secrets...

... Including the missing Ark of the Covenant! You never know. It could be there...
Thanks for looking around this diorama! I hope you enjoyed this as much as I do.

Wonderful micro- Jerusalem! Some smart techniques here! And about the Arc - maybe it's under Temple hill (mountain, dunno good word), but Muslims have all control under it. Only God knows the truth :) Anyway - amazing build!
