Unified Nations Empire Vs. Free Spacers League makes the jump to minifig scale with this well detailed single seat fighter. The FSL "lightning" fighter is capable of staying spaceborne indefinitely thanks to FSL mastery of life support systems for the pilot and dual M2P2 particle collection systems for the engines. Dual charged particle reactors provide power for the thrusters and quad light railgun. This is inspired by the US P-38 lighting airplane.

About this creation

The "wings" are a system that makes a large magnetic bubble with a diameter several kilometers across. Various charged particles are captured and funneled into the dual reactors.

The quad railgun is visible on the underside. It is identical to the quad railgun used by FSL militias. Ammunition is in the form of linked iron rods 10mm in diameter x 100mm long. each of the four guns has its own magazine capable of holding 4,000 rods.

The dome immediately rear of the cockpit houses the gyroscopic stabilization system. This helps the pilot steady his aim when firing upon distant targets.

The particle collector wings can be folded up.

Thrust directing vanes give the lighting excellent maneuvering characteristics
