AEGAKS SPA-101-MDS "Gosan"
The mass produced L-Frame used by the Sentai Province Army. First rolled out at the end of the First Robot War, these venerable units are not suited for fighting the newest generation of drones.
About this creation

To: Sentai Province Ruling Council
From: Captain Assok, Logistics Corps Command
Subject: AEGAKS SPA-101-MDS "Gosan" Review

This is the annual review of Logistics to the Ruling Council.

Currently, our forces are holding off further drone incursion, but an increasing rate of attrition. Pictured here is an antiqued version of the Gosan that was produced near the end of the First Robot War.

These venerable units served us well against the Rebellion and the subsequent skirmishes, but as the drones have advanced, the Gosan began to be unable to handle the new threat.

A picture captured of a Gosan against a Stalker drone, captured during a raid inside a warehouse. Unfortunately, the pilot did survive the encounter, but died later, after he had arrived at the medical station. Stalkers are much lighter and agile that Gosans, making them difficult to target.

Since the end of the First Robot War, we have made numerous upgrades to the Gosan unit, including slightly more powerful actuators and thicker armor, as well as bolting a rack of missiles to each shoulder to give the Gosan extra punch against the drones.

Another variant of the Gosan, which replaced the gatling on the right arm with a large railgun designed for dealing with the drones. While it was effective at destroying drones, its size and kickback made it unwieldy at best. To be honest, this gun is statistically too large for the Gosan, and its repeated use is known to create a need for continued maintenance.

The built in foot clamps were designed to bolt the Gosan in place to hold off the drone waves and it is also effective for dealing with the kickback of the rail gun. When not in use, the clamps fold up onto the back of the foot, providing versatile foot grip as needed.

The Gosan's ejectable Pilot Block has saved many lives, especially early on in the fighting. The heavy armor provides moderate protection from enemy weapons fire, while its general small size makes it moderately difficult to hit..

The operator for our review, Lt. Isara, standing next to her ejected Pilot Block. Lt. Isara is the commander for the 3rd Tactical Armored Division of the Sentai Province Army. She has fought since the Second War began, and proved herself a very capable pilot. Colonel Keiken sought to recruit her into the Experimental Operations Force (also known as the Exo Force) but she turned him down, believing she could do more good leading her men than playing with new toys.

The Gosan does feature an exchangeable powercell, but the main recharge system is actually in the hips. The mobile Repair Bay has clamps that snap down onto the hips to keep the Gosan steady. These clamps also contain the recharging ports that connect to the Gosan's power system. A complete recharging can be completed in 2 hours.

Our recommendation, regarding our inventory and equipment, is to endorse Mr. Kenichi's next-gen AEGAKS. With the Gosans alone, we aren't going to be able to continue this war of attrition. General Seino has promised many advances that will make the AEGAKS obsolete, but he has yet to deliver anything promising. We need help. Please allow the Arkham prototypes to begin the next stage of development, mass production trails. If this is allowed, we may be able to field those units by the end of the year.

This concludes our review of the AEGAKS SPA-101-MDS "Gosan".

With our regards
Captain Assok, Logistics Corps

CREATOR'S NOTES:

Full comparison of the 3 L Frames that I have built to date. The prototype in the center, the racer on the right and the combatant on the left.

MDS stands for Mass Deployment Series.

Hayato telling some fellow soldiers about his experience in which he took a damaged Gosan and defeated two stalkers himself. Shortly after the incident in which he is telling, he was recruited by Colonel Keiken as a pilot.

Thanks! Not all pilots have to be men, as you well demonstrate.

I like how the Gosan has a notable appearance to Little Blue.I however, need to ask you a question.I made this account 3 year ago,and never posted a creation on it.Now,I attempt to do it,but it would not let me.Do I delete it and make a new one?Or should I just try again?Because so far,I tried 3 times. Also, have you ever thought of making a 2 cockpit, heavy artillary AEGAKS? Please answer as fast as you can.

You should contact the moderators for issues like that. I don't know why it would do that. As for the the 2 block, I've been toying with the idea of a 2 block, and it was going to be equipped with an Magnetic Accelerator, but it's going to take a lot of parts that I don't have.

Quoting Mike Johnson Nothing like a good backstory with old school mech fighting tooth and claw or maybe gun and missile against a more powerful foe to add some spice to the gerne. P.S. I'm still messin' with mine. The problem is I keep changing things as I go to get that perfect look. Hopefully I find it soon.
Believe it or not, I'm still performing small tweaks to my other models, even as we speak. I constantly tweak them, so take your time, and get it the way you want. Remember, the AEGAKS is how you want to build it.

Quoting mech maniac this is an AWESOME mech! does the carrier work with other AEGAKS to?
It works with all L Frames. The M Frames require full facilities, until they are mass produced.

Another hit! This 101 is really great, the colors are very well balanced. And look that guns, they are massive! The clamps in the the feet are a nice feat, I used it in my robot AGARI-ONE. Again, great build Jason! In time: I'm finishing an AEGAKS that I may post thes week or next. I wanna show a sneak peak, so call me in MSN.

Yay for gun arms! Great color scheme too. Have to say I'm a fan of the L-frame series for their simple yet effective designs (albeit the Gosan units aren't exactly "effective" against the enemy anymore). The mobile carrier is pretty neat too. I wish my order would get here faster so I could finish up MY AEGAKS homage :/

A very nice little mech! I particularly enjoyed the backstory and also how Hayato became a pilot. The recharge system in the waist was interesting, I just assumed that the energy cell was a one-use item, like the SHINIGAMI core. Altogether an excellent build.
