Amid the rolling hills of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, this pastoral, terraced vineyard is alive with the colors of ripe grapes, wildflowers, and totally awesome Lego fezes. Set in the late Renaissance period, this 24 by 16 bignette (I pronounce it "binyette") features terraced vines, a country-dwelling nobleman, two field workers, Cyprus trees, and a red tile-roofed cottage. About this creation
Again, thanks to Mr. Kelso for the vine technique!
 There are three terraces, each of which was supposed to curve the same way that the retaining wall does, but I found that, at an angle, strait 45 degrees is easiest.

 The angled cottage uses basically the same technique employed in Cafe' Corner's angled door steps.
 Many reference pictures of Greek vineyards and vines made the vine construction much easier.
 As I think is evident, my last Bricklink order consisted of a whole lot of foliage and...
...unbelievably awesome fezes!!!!!
 Don't worry. These guys get paid.
 The grapes were the last thing added to the MOC. I was stumped as to what to do. Not thinking I'd find much, I rifled through my pitifully small and unused collection of dark purple, and lo and behold! there were four inverted 1 by 2 slopes! *cue angelic vocal music* So lucky me, I now had four little grape clusters for my vines.
 What's a vineyard without some BrickForge mushrooms?
 If anyone has any idea for better looking Cyprus trees, PLEASE let me know.

A random bit of interesting information: I didn't know before I looked it up, that "cottage" can also mean "a dwelling forming part of a farm establishment, used by a worker."
There was also supposed to be a clothes-line in this MOC, but it just didn't look right to me.
 The creation, as I like to say, "dis-figured".
 From left to right: Tom, Dick, Harry, and Fredrieka. But seriously. It never occurred to me to name characters in my MOCs. I think I should think about this more...
And of course, the requisite artistic shot. I'm pretty sure you have to do grape-picking at nighttime before they spoil.
