In the dead of night they... Oh forget that!
So I got all stoked about "The Season of The Witch" a film to be released sometime in 2011. It'll be staring Nicholas Cage (Meh...), Ron Perlman (Oh stinkin' yeah!), and looks like Christopher Lee (Can I cry with joy now?) will be tossed in there too. It looks like a decent story, and it's based in a medieval historic fantasy setting, which makes it so much cooler. Anyway, after watching the trailer a couple times too many, I was inspired enough to 'hit teh brickz' and try my hand at some medieval/fantasy MOCing... something I haven't done in some while.
So this is the first MOC I built in a long time where I included a base-plate. I used it as a guideline, sorta'...
The path/road turned out nicely... I mean, if I do say so myself!
The trees aren't bad, and the rock thing in the corner was used to through off the unintentional symmetry... I think it worked out alright.
"The one time I leave my Holy Water and Wooden stakes home, I get attacked by frikkin' vampires!"
The knight ordered to act as defender of carriage... you never know what can happen on the long road to judgment!
So what the heck is going on? Well - back in the medieval days folks were very suspicious and superstitious. If anything out of the ordinary happened, they'd blame it on 'sorcery' or some other ridiculousness. This particular young lady was found outside her home, and because of her exceptionally pale skin, she was charged of being a witch. Grabbed up by soldiers and carted away, she thought her life was soon to end. But her valiant brothers aren't about to give up on her. They're attacking the prison carriage that is to deliver her to the place where she is to be burned. Will they succeed? Or will they be put to death by the defending soldiers?
Yup... lots of cute, little critters in the woods. A rat, a frog, a bat... can you find 'em all?
Well now that I showed you both the frog and the rat, can you find the bat?
Yes, the wagon's doors open...
... and the prisoner can be let out.
Well thanks for taking a look! Now I totally need to make a Werewolf MOC.
I have been seeing those trailers too. Looks like fun but I am going to wait for the BluRay to see it. Nice carrage and I like the rat in the stump. Might that be an evil wizard checking up on things? You never know. see ya. garth
Great build! The feel conveyed from the lighting and the figures helps give it that extra look of a medieval fantasy/horror movie. Also, I found your bat! Bit tricky to locate him because of the lighting, but I found him in the end! Keep 'em coming!
Oooh! Another moc from you! Up top bro! *Fist-Bump* anyway, great moc. The carriage is very spiffy, and the "Chrome-o" knight, is so shiny! As well, the flowers around the trees are a great touch! Top notch!
Ooh, 1st comment, Yayz! =D Anyway, I found the rat and the frog, not yet the bat. I will though. ;) I like the terrified soldier, and yes, the path did come out nice. The rat is.. well... hilarious, to tell you the truth. xD And so is, as I mentioned, the terrified soldier, who forgot his stakes and water. "Just my luck..." Anyway, nice job, and keep on brickin'! ~Athanasios
