This diorama is of the famous planet Venom from the Star Fox series (Nintendo).
About this creation
Venom is a dark, desolate, lifeless planet in the Lylat System. The atmosphere is un-breathable, the ocean is too acidic to support life, and not a life form grows there. Or so it was thought...
One day, Dr. Andross, a Cornerian scientist, held an experiment that went terribly wrong and destroyed a large portion of Corneria. General Pepper of the Cornerian Army banished the maddening scientist to planet Venom. It was thought he would never survive there...
However, Andross discovered a specie of lizard on Venom. He somehow survived, and created an army out of these organisms. The mad scientist still conducted experiments, but without any guinea pigs but himself, he turned into a giant, disembodied head.
One day, General Pepper noticed strange activity on the planet's surface. He sent the Star Fox team to investigate. The team consisted of James Mccloud, Peppy Hare, and Pigma Dengar.
Upon arriving, Pigma betrayed the team. Peppy and James were captured, but Peppy managed to escape, and return home to Corneria.
Years later, the new Star Fox team is sent to end the war between Venom and Corneria. Fox Mccloud, the leader of the team and James's son, decides to fight Andross alone. He easily defeats Andross, or so he thought. Andross turns into a giant brain.
So, Fox defeats Andross, the base exploads, but James, who turns out not to be dead, leads them out. He dissapears for some reason after they escape.
Fast forward a few eons, and genetically engineered fish are discovered in the Venom Sea, which was thought to be too acidic to support life. These fish, called the Anglars, were created by Dr. Andross while he lived on Venom for oh-so-many years. They attack Corneria and all that jazz.
Well, in the perfect world, Star Fox would just fly their Arwings into the Venom Sea and destroy them blah blah blah. Well, in the perfect world they wouldnt attack Corneria in the first place. Well, the sea is too acidic for the Arwings. Therefore, a device is developed, and the Venom Sea is neutralized. The Anglars are defeated, and Venom is destined to become a nicer place.
Yeah, anyway, I suppose you want to hear about the diorama. The soil is too dark. Oh well. LDD has its drwbacks... But, anyway, it is, for the most part, based off of the hard-route Venom level, with Andross's doorstep in the middle. I improvised on the pillars, and the hills are all the same hill. (yes, im getting lazy. Schools starting again, darn it!). However, unlike the Star Fox 64 level, I have a little bit of the Venom Sea included in the diorama. I spent a lot of time on the water... (President Rick wanted me to add a hangar... too bad for him!)
So, it uses 4605 bricks, a little lower than my previous dioramas.
$1702 (roughly). A little lower than my previous too!
