Ravel
About this creation
This is Ravel, a picture puzzle. You are a postman who one day wakes up in a mysterious place. What is going on, is it a dream? You come across a signpost in the road. It reads:

Welcome friend to a place called Ravel,
Should you wish to leave; there’s no need to travel.
Open your mind and believe what you see,
Follow my words carefully and you will be free.

Beware the creature chained to the guillotine,
A close encounter, and death he will bring.
He bears your semblance like a deranged twin,
To get past you must slay him from within.

The weapon you seek is neither sword nor spear,
It is rather small and shaped like a sphere.
But judge not this toxic fruit by its size,
The bones of the Great Beast tell no lies.

Finding the exit is your next task,
There’s no gate or portal, so don’t even ask.
Look to the stars and you will find your way,
They light your path as clear as day.

Point the Northern Star southeast,
To the south you will shine the Star of the Northeast
Point the Eastern Star southwest
And the Southwest Star east. (You’re almost done with your quest!)

The obsidian block marks the compass center,
And where the light beams cross, there you will enter.
Pick up the tools once guarded by the creature,
Now dig dig dig your way to departure!

OK where do I begin, first of all I have spent my entire life looking at lego mocs and this has to be the best that I've ever seen. Absolutely epic (and I don't use that word a lot because it usually isn't used on the right stuff but this really deserves it) It has inspired me to make a lego game of my own and I hope You don't mind if I use some of your ideas.:)

I figured it out, using my brother as a think tank (he had to listen to all of my reasoning/explanations :D). It wasn't too hard; we got confused at first because of the ammount of details (most of them just ornamental). Thanks for the exercise :) Awesomely developed, and the poem was quite pretty.

Absolutely fantastic! I would just suggest making the photos bigger so that we don't have to click on every one to see them. :D

Your poetic/eerie building style is creepy. I can't even get past the poem...
Quoting magma guy I think I teased it! There is a small old dk. gray square on the giant dk. bley area, so I dug, an I right?
Lol that's a fishing hole.

The only complaint I have is that it's a little too easy. It took me very little time to solve. I love the build quality though... it's truly exceptional. Wonderful work. Will you make more like it or is this a one-off?

Use cherries from the bitten-open tree to defeat the twin and gain access to his pick and shovel. Reorienting the trashcan lights as described in the fifth verse makes an intersection about 6 tiles North of the fishing hole.

I flound out the answer a while ago but Magma got me to it. It would look as if I'm pretending it's on dk. grey. Probably.

An intriguigng conception, of that we can be sure; From your searching mind, this we will gladly endure; A puzzle to tease; A sight to please; We can only hope for the subject's revelation; And eagerly await the conceiver's next creation.

An interesting puzzle, and a hard one at that... the chess board is too obvious, the dark grey is... suspicious, so it's either that or, since you are to defeat 'the creature chained to the guillotine', it may be near the bones of the beast, where the circular technic piece is. T'is a difficult puzzle, and it would be to my surprise, if I was to find, that I'd be the victor.

Wow, this MOC is really good... and big... and awesome! I like the puzzles. Well, my opinion is that weapon for beast are cherries or football ball in this think under the boat. But football ball isn't fruit, so I am going to say cherries. Without bird view I can't tell where lights are crossing, but it seems that it is on chess board. But again, it seems that one points to the sausage. I didn't think about sausage because I thought that it wasn't important, but there is something like mouse's hole beneath it. Tool that monster guards is pike. Also, there is some mechanism on the chess board. Is that just a trick or way to get out by turning thr first wheel to right. LEGO isn't good way to make a puzzle. Well, I'm going to say that exit is somewhere around compas. Guesing method doesn't work, but I least tryed...

Surreal, incredible work, and @ Mr. Xenomurphy - its not dark tan, its old dark gray. And yes I'd agree that is most likely where.

Needless to say how fantastic this MOC is. You must be a relative of David Lynch and the late Satoshi Kon. I believe the exit is the dark tan tile field close to the red sausage. Right?

Something amazingly beautiful I lay my eye. You very well could be so sly. The stairs caught curiosity. And you poem sparked my ferocity. But beware the end is near. Because of utter fear. None shall tell. Farewell. Farewell.
