an upgrade for the aragog from the new harry potter set "hagrids hut". why? because the original design s*cks!
About this creation
i got the neg hagrids hut for christmas, and it is a really nice set: the hut opens and closes, norbert and hagrid are there... there is only one thing that is really bothering me: the spider! the hut looks sooooo good, then why add an aragog that looks like sh!t? so, i've modified him. i wanted to use as much parts as possible from the original aragog, but i've made him bigger: a cooler head, longer legs, a bigger back end... wanna see it? scroll down, and find out!
what a beauty! why grey eyes? if you folllow the descripion of the book, it says he is blind...

there are only two "illegal connections" in the whole MOC: the lower set of his teeth: i've used a vertical tool holder to keep them in place.
i've even added some brown accents on his soft belly!
if you want to know how i did it, let me know! anyway, i think this is better than the original spider, but that's my opinion... there is only one way to find out what you think, so please, comment and rate ;)

The 'ileagal' connections are actully leagal.
TLG have used a similar technique in the Battle Of Endor for Cheif Cherpa's staff.

It's definitely an upgrade. I don't really count those teeth as "illegal," the connection is fairly stable and doesn't, in my exprience, put stress on the elements. |
