I tried to make a series of interwar/alternate history aircraft that probably would have served in the early-mid 30s. I took a logical approach to the existing designs to come up with my alternates.
About this creation

This bomber is rather typical of transition periods. Underpowered, bad looking, and with more defensive blind spots than a bat.

The two outside engines are of a different type than the inside engines. Not very typical of the period, but a possibility. The gondola was a shout-out to the French Amiot 143 bomber.

The rear gunpit came out like that completely by accident. I finished building the cockpit, and it was already there without any further building. I just put the fig and gun in.

Forward gunner/bombardier, that was a fun part to build.

Open cockpit and lightly armed, this is a very plausible alternate reality interceptor. Sporting a compact inline engine, it is plagued with mechanical difficulties.

Colored specifically and tow-hook equipped, this likely served on surface (rather than zeppelin) aircraft carriers.

This one looks good, but with such modern features as glazed canopy and heavy armament, this is too late for my timeline and is closer to jet transition.

You might recognize the fuselage from my Mig-60.

The alternate universe theme reminds me of "In a Mirror, Darkly." Well done. |

I like the landing wheels on the last two planes and the gunning compartments on the first one. But I think the planes themselves could do with some improvement. Keep 'em coming |

Great job here ultra. i have to agree that the bomber is fugly. the second plane seems a little more in late 20s era, but eh. The third plane seems the most plausible. keep em coming. |
