Hellraiser Mecha
Another earlier MOC. This is my first Mecha and I made this when I first discovered the whole Mecha-theme. If I could build it again, I would, but I kinda ran out of black and blood red pieces... so... yeah... Anyways. It's armed with a heavy coil gun, a heavy Gatling gun, mortar tubes, and rocket pods. Please excuse the green bits on the legs. That was kind of a fail on my part. I hope you enjoy it, and thanks for looking.

Conner, thank you for the suggestions. I recognize that this mech has many faults, and I hope to rebuild this and make it a little less awkward. If it happens, I will certainly try to fix the joints, as those caused me the most trouble. I was lacking a lot of heavy joints in the process of building, so the AT-AT click joints were out of the picture. I only had four, and they were used in the knee/hip joints of the mech. Thanks again for the help! |

This is very big, and VERY scary... for a minifig at least. 5 Smiles.

Currently im in development of a mech that is expected to be bigger than any of my current mechs, but i cant settle on a design. any tips on the body i was thinking about doing a mech with no cockpit window. thanks.
I would try to do a chicken-walker style mech, especially if it's going to be larger than your others. The backward legs seem to stabilize the weight of the mech more easily than the forward-knee design. Click joints really work, especially the Exo-Force click joints. Another suggestion I have for you is that you should try to use your heaviest joints possible for the legs. There were flaws in my Hellraiser's legs, such as the ankle design. The ankles were extremely frail, and could not keep the mech on its feet without additional support. Heavy clickjoints are great for knees. Another thing... Just keep looking at mechs. Keep checking out designs of other people, it's pretty much how I started. Check out the Dawn Forge theme (mondayn00dle), it's got some great mech body designs and the guns are amazing. Let me know if I can help in any other way, I'll be more than happy to help. |

very well articulated and a good addition to any mecha collection. why don't you take a look at my longshot mech? thanks.
Thanks! I hope to revamp this one and make it a little heavier looking, but it probably won't happen any time soon. And I'll be more than happy to check out your mech :) |

WOW!its big,its massive and it has cool guns!nice work
It most certainly is big, but it can't stand up on it's own (*facepalm*). If you look in the bottom picture, the platform is held up by a number of clear Lego Pod pieces. But thanks anyways :) |
