The Armax Co. proudly presents the next generation mech OEBM - 001 "Omnia"! This mech was designed after EVA concept, though it's not an EVA. As a piloted heavy mech, Omnia is produced in the Samurai Edge Assembly Facility. Take a look in this new model and see why ARMAX Co. is the best solution to your war.
About this creation
The Omnia torso was inspired in the Hoplite armor used by greek warriors in ancient times. It's a very thick and resistent armor, especially developed to fight the AI robots in the first Robot War:

The head was inpired in the EVA models from anime Neon Genesis Evangelion (NGE). This single part took me three days and some headache medicine to figure out how to build an EVA head...

Legs. As you already have noticed, I'm a freak mech legs addicted. Yep, I think these legs are very sexy too.

The power source cord. Another idea stolen from NGE. The power source cord maintain the mecha fully operational while connected. If tou remove the plug, the mech will be able to continue operational for 30 minutes until the bateries are fully depleted.

Some poses to show the poseability:

YES! THE MOUTH OPENS!!! BWAHAHAHAH!!!! This is the main reason why it took me so long to figure out how to make an EVA head...

The progressive knife! Yes, another idea stolen fron NGE... Whatever, I think they're pretty cool. By the way, which Eva based mech doesn't have a prog knife? Omnia have twin knifes!

Ares Twin Cannons. The twin cannons use 180mm ammo and have a fire rate of 3,16 shots per second. 3 km of average reach.

Minifig comparison. Yes, this thing is huge...

Say hello to our pilot, Trysh Kovanenko. She is a very beautiful woman, as beautiful as tough. Don't mess with her, or...

I hope you enjoyed!

I love the sculpting on the legs and body...Just not sold on the head...just doesn't seem to flow well with the rest.
Your color grouping is outta sight, BTW.
I rarely build heads on my mechs myself for the same reason I mentioned above!
All in all impressive work. |

Eva it is not, awsome it certainly is! My favorite portions are the torso slopes and the legs. I would try some gun/arms and a more traditonal head for a different effect. Experimentation it what makes us all better in our designs. Keep up the good work.
One more time... IT'S NOT AN EVA!!! Some parts are inspired in EVA style, but it's a truly ARMAX production. Anyways, thanks for your comment! |

Love it! Simply amazing. I love the addition of the knives and this is the first time I've seen the back, which is must say looks cool.
The idea of a plug-in robot seems a little silly to me though, but so does most anime. lol |

Very nice. I happen to like it very much. I like how it has the EVA influence, and to me it looks sort of like a gundam-eva hybrid. I still thinks it needs a tower shield, but that's me. |

have to concur on a couple of points with MD. While it is an excellent build the lack of a large sword is a glaring oversight on a "samurai". And yes though I can see the Eva influence for the design, it doesn't have the trademark Eva shape. Limbs need to be much longer and thinner, the shoulders need to be wider and the posture needs to be more stooped.
Brilliant smooth build with some cool elements that I would be proud of.
Thanks! I make my words to MD the same to you. |

I'll be honest with you: other than a general sort of lankyness, I'm not really seeing the EVA influence. Evas are long-limbed, hunchbacked, gangly things. This looks more like a samurai than anything else. That being said, this is an amazing piece of construction. I really like the use of shapes and colors on it. I think that its kind of too bad that the samurai has no sword though.
Thanks for the hints! I like criticism, it make us improve. Well, about you said, this is an EVA BASED, not an EVA. I stated this in the MOC resume. The only things that it's Eva inpired is the head, the shoulder pads (kind of) and the back power cord. The torso is inspired in the ancient greek hoplite armor. I agree with you, it have a Samurai looking and the Samurai Edge Class seems to fit nicely in it. I still have the katana used in "Ronin", which would fit perfectly, but I prefered to not use in this one because I already used it in my previous model. At least it carries prgressive knifes... |

It's all pretty much perfect, just the guns are rather clumsy and square.
Thank you! Of course, not one of my best weapons so far, but I did them like this because I like more clean and simple lines. Yet, the weight drops significantly... I have another mech to post, the Hellfire. It carries a very nice sniper rifle that you may like. I will post it soon. Stay tuned! |

cool head!i also like the color scheme on this one,btw whats the use of the transparent line on its back???
Thanks! The transparent line is a silicon cord that came with the earlier Exo-Force sets. It's used here as a power source cord. |

*Whistle* Your mechas keep getting more and more impressive, Luiz! That eva-style head is pretty epic. Would you mind posting a tutorial on how you made it? I've actually been thinking about incorporating that style of head into Izanagi and any help would be much appreciated ^^
As soon as possible I will make the head tutorial. Add me in MSN: nandocamargo1@hotmail.com |

I don't know what the mechs you are referencing look like, or if this looks like them. I do know that I think it looks too female, and the thighs look a little too large. |
