My first LeMans car, even after all this time. Building it was suspiciously (dare I say) easy, then it fell apart during photography...oops.
About this creation

Warning! Minature version of 4th Wall Commentary! Skip to next pic if you want to avoid it! Okay the... After 2+ years on the pages, I don't think I ever built a LeMans, and still technically haven't, since the Dauer 962 was just Porsche's way of getting into more events. After a recent interwebs spree, I found a whole bunch of things I wanted to build, so this has to go to make room. Lego Ford GT40, here I come! (May or may not post, if it's to close to the original then obviously I shouldn't bother). And possibly a Chocobo, though I've never played Final Fantasy.

The front was tough, I believe its the lowest I've built so far.

To the side!

The side was easy... to easy... my Lego's saved the hardest bit for the back.

The big spoiler/wing was fun to build.

So many vents, exhaust pipes and angles to line up... and then it has to open.

Some shots to highlights the roof line.
.

All black roof, not my choice of colors(to hot in summer).

A twin turbo V-6 was smushed in under the hood, I did'nt have much room to work with. Also note some suspension greeblies.

Doors open

And heres when it broke... being an opportunist, I fixed it only to realize I needed to take the roof off anyway.

Not many luxuries, just steering, gas& brake, gauges, shifter, em brake, etc.

Door details

Fender vents be eatin' my engines room. D:<

more vents yet again

Sorry, I'm late... great to see the Dauer! You did a great job resembling the shape of the bodywork with all its ducts and openings, showing some very sophisticated building techniques! The engine, however, can use a bit (or much) more detail - just try it! As this is the street version, decals aren't necessary; but what about a racing variant? There's only one thing to work on IMO: if you take a look at the front of the real car, you'll realize "channels" on both side of the windscreen, leading air to the coolers -> http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/8364/dauer9626252dnsi4.jpg Sure, it is a difficult task, but it's worth a try! Best wishes, Jens |

You've got a serious ride here! Everything looks so sleek and in place and you captured that "fast cool look" on it! Nice job! Perhaps some decals on this one would even make it alive... I usually don't like decals, but this one could do some nice and angry few... :) Keep it up. |

Wow! Suspiciously easy, you say? Well, it came out very well, like you spent several hours on it. The ninja swords as front pillars are pure genius, and the vents and headlights are nice as well. The engine was a low point for me, you should probably work on the rear a bit to make more room for it. |
