Kriigen was a formiddable member of the Dark Hunters, sent to capture the rogue Toa of Gold.
About this creation
Before we get onto Anything, here are some links to the original made by Alpha A.I. and to the BRCII, of which Kriigen is a leading character.
Borrowed designs are Shadowgear6335's Cheese Slope thing (on his shins and forearms) and the design of the BioCore, which Alpha requested him (and the up and coming Toa Aura) to have. This is how I imagined Kriigen to look, more or less, in the story. Far more locust-like.
And now onto the MOC:
Note that I also gave him a sword. Unfortunately all of the pictures of him with it involve him in shots with Aura, who I don't want to show yet.
--------------------
Name: Kriigen Gender: Male Species: Nashrak Race: - Occupation: Dark Hunter Operative Title(s): Hunter Element: Sonics Kanohi: Felnas, Mask of Elemental Distruption Alignment: Lawful Evil Typical Weapon: Double-Bladed Sword, Sonic Spear, Chakram MOC Status: Disassembled
(Audiomachine - Life Acquisition (Deus Ex machina))
Kriigen is a member of the endangered Nashrak species. A tribal, insectoid species, the Nashrak are physically incapable of speaking Matoran Basic, instead having their own series of clicks and whistles with which to communicate. They were often mistaken as advanced Rahi, but they were not created by makuta, they were sapient, and they could use kanohi masks. The Felnas was popular among them due to the fact that they are sensitive to their own element - sonics. Wars between different tribes was common until their numbers decreased to dangerous levels.
Kriigen was on the run from his own tribe (presumably destroyed) when he joined the Dark Hunters. He was of standard rank, and learned how to understand Matoran Basic, although speaking it pains him.
His weapons are (barring the chakram) advanced versions of his old ones. His spear is capable of splitting and firing sonic bursts, and the sword has dual vibrating blades. Kriigen is well trained in all three.
Kriigen's final mission was when he was sent by The Shadowed One to Stelt to capture the Toa of Gold. She was valuable to the Dark Hunters as a source of wealth. He succeeded in the capture, and also subdued a toa of sonics named Kryote. Both of them escaped, however.
The following two days involved chasing the fleeing toa with a fellow hunter named Veneno. The hordika was as much of an enemy to him as the toa. Perhaps moreso. Eventually Kriigen maganed to corner the Toa of Gold, but she trapped him. In a mad bid to save his race's memory, he removed his Bio-Core.
The Nashrak Bio-Core is a strange piece of tech. As the nashrak heal slowly, it is built to accelerate healing, as well as increasing heart rate and also metabolism (the rate at which the body's cells process energy). Other more advanced functions are also apparent, but enigmatic - such as the strange genetic memory stored within. Its effects on Aura are so far unknown, as Kriigen had forced the device to attatch to her heartlight.
The removal of the bio-core, in addition to his other injuries inflicted by the toa, killed him. After he died, he was resurrected briefly using a kanohi Tryna by a Toa of Carbon to subdue some of his enemies before finally falling.

I love him,all the lime green and silver works perfect togheter, but one quiston: when are you going to build Ezru?
I have no clue. Presumaly after I've ordered loads of balljoint bits off Bricklink around Christmas.
Always getting better, Gringat... Amazing creation, the design is really cool and its very well built. I would only suggest you to change the lower legs and feet, they look kinda small...
I like it

I don't think that the Breeze helmet works for a dark hunter. The rest of the MOC is really epic though.

I was wondering if your inspiration was the Thri-kreen or mantis warriors from D&D. Whether it was or not this is a spendid creation. All Bionicles should look this good straight out of the box!
There is a bit of D&D inspiration there. A lot of inspiration for him came from the Glabrezu.

wow, thats very amazing. the insectiod look to it is very outstaning. also, you never see people making dark hunters anymore, good to see that some people still remember them.

Cool but those aren't called chakrams, they're called wind and fire wheels. They are a chinese weapon that western culture refer to as chakrams which are a completely different weapon.
It IS a chakram mate. Loom your facts up before you accuse me. Wind and Fire wheels are melee weapons from china, true. Chakrams are indian. They are throwing weapons, and are a traditional weapon in the Sikh faith. Notably the chakram is meant to be a simple circle, but I can't replicate that in technic too well.
As for western culture calling wind and fire wheels chakrams, I suppose that's unfortunately true. The same class of people that call all Japanese swords Katanas, even though they aren't.
Wow, you certainly did some remodeling from Al's version. I think that if you added a bit more black to the color scheme, it would look nicer, but the extra arms and antena (nice use of harpoons) make for an awesome Gringatinized version. I give it a superior rating!
P.S, I hope you won't keep those photos with Aura in them from us forever! ;D
Awesome as usual :D Also I've got to say that your comment on my Hadie really confused me xD

I love the design, truly amazing job here. Makes me feel that my moc of Jak falls below standards though >.< * leaves to improve on the mechanical mad man and the story of his Genocidal campaign against Ezru...*
Amazing! I love it! this is truly amazing! I think I like this one better than my own, honestly. I love the spear! and you got everything perfectly right as far as the backstory goes.
Once again, your custom MOCs never cease to amaze me. This MOC is so cool. I like how he is part of an endangered species and how a male MOC is using a Natalie Breez head. BTW, the fifth episode of Weapons of War will be up in Youtube shortly.
