in the after noon of 12/7/10 during the 91st anual christmas tree lighting in downtown New Lego, a parking garage gave way right next to the lighting ceremony. there were over a thousand people at the ceremony. they were moved to across the street by NLPD. S1 and S1a,engine 86 and ladder 100, Batt. 1 and investigation 1, medic 1, 2, and a superior ambulance all responded along with much help by the NLPD. Investigators beleive the cause of the collapse was too much weight on the 2nd floor of the structure. many cars were destroyed as well as much structure dammage on the parking garage that is supposed to become part of the multimillion dollar New Lego Financial Building project.
