C it be. GIMP, actually. I drew an 80% opaque red line, and then a smaller 90% opaque white line over it. The flares on the cutting torch were done with a semi-free program called "Light Artist" which I've found comes in handy at times.

Hmmm, this is a tough one. I am guessing that whatever creature(s) escaped (as told by the log) would not use a blaster style weapon and there is probably a friendly in the vent. However, he thinks our guy is an enemy and, therefore, tried to shoot him. We need to establish contact with the man. Running away won't help and trying to cut down the vent will get our guy shot, so shouting profanities seems to be the best option. I am not in favor of vulgar language, however, so I will just decline my chance to vote for this part.

The Vent Shoots Back. . .great title for a movie or something. A would do little good, as our "hero" would invariably get shot and die. In a ventilation system. How ignominious. B would just irritate further the obviously already irate laserman. That leaves us with. . .C: Running time! Flee, whilst the fleeing is good. Keep 'em coming! By the way, how did you do the laser effect? More sprites?
