Yes, Goeben was definetly a ship with unique history. To bad that Germany declined to take it back in the 60's, because I think that her chances for survival as a museum ship later on would have been much greater there. It is true that it costs a lot to maintain such big ships, but still... |

I simply love modernized WWI ships, so this is song to my ears. I've always been wondering how would the German Bayerns or Knigs look like if they hadn't been scuttled at Scapa Flow... An encounter with the British beauty on your table would surely be interesting.
One of my first Lego ships was a USS Arizona, so I have a soft spot from tripod masts and reconstructed ships =) I do wonder if the Konigs and Kaisers would have made it through the Washington Treaty. I think for political reasons, and the fact they only had 11 and 12 inch guns they probably wouldn't have survived the cutting torch. The Bayerns are another story and could easily have been modernized to keep up with the British QE class. The old battlecruiser Goeben/Yavuz got a rather minor modernization in Turkey so that could be an interesting subject as well.

Hi Alex! those are great battleships!
A question: am I mistaken, or are you french?(I'm asking because of your name)
Hey Jay!
Thanks for the nice comments :) I'm not French, but there's certainly a bit of French in my heritage ;) |

I like the way how you build the body of the boat. It's not that easy to take a photo for such big creation, isn't it? |

Very nice job on these, the detail is great! Which one is which? The 73 stud, I'm assuming, would be the big American one with the triple guns? Or is the 73 stud the smallest of the three? Keep it up! -Ultra |

These look awesome! But the backgrounds make it tough to see them. Can you get in there a little closer, maybe? |
