This is my conversion of 8880 F1 car. Driving with one XL Motor and steering with one M Motor.

I have had this set since it first came out and its one of my favorite sets. This is a really good mod. Thanks for sharing and you should check out my mod of the 8880 set.

Quoting BlueScope (Mike) I like what you did there... a lot of it reminds me about how I concepted my Track Fighter model, especially your placement of the electrical parts. The suspension is quite cool, and probably superior to mine in terms of space needed (even though you use the larger suspension parts), however don't seem as stiff as they should be for an F1 racer. The pistons are also really cool, and I actually made that as an alternative to the battery box in my model - obviously without the ability to remote-control it then. How you incorporated both of it into one is really cool. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. Regarding suspension, it is original one from this model (8880) and I haven't changed anything, so we can only blame LEGO for this :). I also think it is too soft, but I do not have harder springs to swap them.
