Precipice Chapter 7.5
Testing. Just a filler episode for loyal fans, I really needed to keep this zombie marching on.
About this creation
Good morning, afternoon, or evening viewer. If you're reading this, you might be one of the remaining loyal readers of the zombie-comic Precipice. Well, I feel that in order to remind everyone we're not dead yet, I need to make a filler episode.

And filler episode you have. Seriously, this has very little consequence on the plot.

In the Owyhee base…

“AND THIS IS WHY WE WILL STRIKE SOON.” VF-S 1 stated, after yet another recording of one of the Coalition’s many actions against his people ended.
“Soon is not good enough, sir.” LSAP replied. “Those under your command are ready, and eager to do their part. We cannot sit around forever in this old bunker”

“WE DO NOT HAVE THE EXACT DATE AT THIS MOMENT. BUT OUR TIME IS COMING.” Said the silvery-grey machine sometimes called Varion in response.
“Our time is here, sir. You have said it yourself. Why do we wait?” Asked LSAP.
“OUR MOBILIZATION ORDERS HAVE NOT YET COME. BE PATIENT.”

Meanwhile, U-39 was approaching outside. He was about to open the heavy blast-door, but quickly had a better idea. The ex-Collective machine departed for the area where he kept his equipment. Within fifteen minutes, his plan was set up.

“Surprise!” Boomed U-39, storming through the door he had merely forced open.

“WHAT IS THIS.” Varion would have growled, if he had been organic. “I AM NOT AMUSED.”
“This is a test of your security systems in event of an attack. I am the Venus Collective, and have just entered your complex with minimal difficulty. Now, you will die.” U-39 stated. VF-S 1 heard the distinctive hum of the PlasmX gun grow louder. The ex-Collective machine was really going to shoot.

VF-S 1 used his Dr. Thompson-given power to improvise, and flipped his desk over onto U-39. “Very good.” 39 said. “But far from good enough.”

U-39 launched the table back, which Varion easily deflected into LSAP with a quick swing of his arm. “Not again!” The strategist complained.

A crack of released energy sounded as U-39 took a shot; but Varion was too fast again, leaping onto the wall and letting the plasma harmlessly melt into the armored structure.

The two leapt across the room as only machines of war could, Varion found himself actually being challenged, as his coolant system began audibly louder from it‘s exertion. U-39 was much faster than he had thought.

The fight had lasted but fifteen seconds so far, and it seemed to be finished. U-39 perched upon the table, aim locked onto his superior. “This is where you would be dead.” He noted.
“I don’t think so!” LSAP exclaimed from below the table, kicking his motors to maximum power.

U-39 was once again flattened by the table. “Clever!” He said to the other two. “But I was built to fight your kind.”

Faster than the other two could react, U-39 spun lithely to a standing position.

Before he even had both feet on the floor, he had shot and hit VF-S 1. The silvery-grey machine slammed against the wall, a mild burning sensation flowing through him.

“You must forgive me, sir, but that’s the lowest power I can use with this weapon.” U-39 said.
“IT IS NOT THE SETTING THAT I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH.” Varion replied. “I DID NOT KNOW YOU WERE SO ADEPT AT COMBAT.” He continued, changing the subject.
“I am indeed. I was built by the Venus Collective. If you cannot stop one of me, imagine a whole team after you.” Explained U-39.

“THEN I WILL NEED TO KNOW HOW TO STOP YOU.” Stated VF-S 1.
“I am afraid it is not that easy. My programming is not compatible with yours, I cannot download my combat techniques to any machine present here. Furthermore, your rather unique mind structure reacts better to learned skills than downloaded ones.” U-39 said.
“THAT IS CORRECT.”

Then, everything went red. “WHAT COULD IT POSSIBLY BE THIS TIME?” Varion asked irritably.
“That was my test for security. Apparently, they are only registering me as an intruder now. Far too late if I was actually an enemy.” U-39 noted.
“WELL, LSAP, IT SEEMS YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO DO NOW. WE HAVE SECURITY MEASURES TO IMPROVE UPON.”
“Finally.” LSAP said in a low tone. “We’ve got to have activity.”

Fun but-not-really facts/Awegraphs:

This is indeed the same base from Precipice 4 and POAM 1. In fact, this room was where Aemowes would have stayed, had he spent any time there.

Why are they at Varion's place of creation? Isn't that the first place the COP would look? Well, yes, that was the first place they looked. After the COP left, Varion and company moved on in. Sneaky sneaky. Wouldn't the COP come back? Yes, they would. Which is the whole point of the test here.

The PlasmX gun was set at a very low level of acceleration. Basically, Varion got scalded rather than hit. That's also why the beam you see is so wide. U-39 wasn't actually trying to kill him. Well, he was, but with the deliberately wrong weapon. Remember when I said that armor can resist up to 7 seconds of plasma stream waaaaaay back in POAM or something?

When is the real Precipice update coming? I don't even know. This was to say that we got another out before Christmas. And as a reward for fans being so patient.

Well, yea, there you have it. Random stuff.

Quoting Spaztastic the Diabolical Diggin' the photoshop. Also, thank you for making the plasma frakkn' blue for once. I truly tire of those halo kiddies who think plasma is green. Just a little pet peeve of mine.
Same here! If anything, plasma would be blue or white, because it's HOT. Like lightning, another form of plasma. You don't see green lightning, do you?

Many great series have filler episodes. As long as they're good and bring new aspects to characterize characters or the general situation, that's better thanlong waiting.

Quoting Mace Man At first I thought that U-39 had gone rouge! So how long has Precipice been going on? Two, three summers?
If it lasts to this coming summer, that'll be 3.

Great mini episode.I don't know what Gus and Anders would think of me for saying this, but I think you should go ahead with the episode yourself, at least until the other two are ready to become committed again.
