One of the LUG's has a Texaco station on display. I've always liked it and wanted to build one. Within the past few years, ChevronTexaco Corp sold off most of their Texaco service stations in NJ to Shell Oil Corp, with a complete pull-out of Texaco from the NJ area this year. I've always liked the Texaco brand and decided to finally make a Texaco station. This is one of two that I am planning on building, with the possibility of a 3rd. This particular station is a modified version of the System 2000 Texaco service station. I plan on building a 1950's era Texaco with their infamous Banjo Texaco sign. If I decide to build a 3rd Texaco, it will be the "Matawan" style, built in the late 60's into the 70's.

What do you use for your decals, and where do you get your skotchlite
Avery shipping labels. The scotchlite is from 3M. |

Very very cool bob, i've been waiting for this since the mention on sixby, turned out really nice, i like the way the logos and lettering stick out the sides, reminds of the mc donalds i saw on your site some years ago. do i see a large fuel fire coming?

Pretty awesome! Can you make any other brands
I'm sure I can. This was my first attempt at a gas station. My specialty is fire apparatus, as you may have seen. : ) |

Robert, this is one of the most complete gas stations I've seen on MOCPages. You really did try to capture all of the features of a modern station. Texaco did the same here in California. I liked their gas too. Keep up the great work. Regards, Eric.
Thank you ELB! I still have some little details to add, such as an air pump and decals. We used to have a bunch of Texaco stations near me. Now, its mostly Lukoil, Exxon, Shell and Delta, with a few Gulf, Sunoco, Hess, Getty and Enrite stations mixed in. |

Very nice work. There used to be a Texaco by the ball field i played at for over a decade. Baseball makes me think of Texaco sometimes lol. Im curious, whats the gigantic red building in the background of the 12th picture down?
Ahhh, that is the rear of the Fire Academy. I never moved it off the table when I was working on it. But it is ready to go to its new home in another room of my house. : ) |

Nice job Bob. I really came out nice. Are you going to use it for an incident or just for display. Otherwise nice job as there was a lot of detail put into this. Keep up the outstanding work.
Thanks! I still have to add decals and interior details, as well as some rails for the left bay door. I may do a little incident, like a car fire at the pumps. I like the gas station too much to destroy it.
