A Working Fire 1 Engine Company, 1 Ladder Company, rescues in progress. If I haven't got the US terminology correct, I apologise; perhaps one of my US colleagues could suggest??

Sorry James, I had no idea you were a Brit!! It just goes to show you should never assume anything!! Whereabouts are you from? I'm from Sheffield originally, but now in Preston, Lancs; (I had to get a new passport)! I'm thinking about trying this big Merc we've just built, although I need to finish my 1950's Brigade first. In need of more parts though,
red & black tiles in particular...

In the UK 2 Pumps would be sent to a typical House/Dwelling fire; similar mobilisation, smoke issuing etc. Appliances would book "in attendance," & commence rescue/firefighting operations. The Officer in Charge would then send an "Informative" message; "Dwelling, 5 metres x 10 metres, Fire in first floor bedroom, suspect spread to roof, 1 Hosereel, 1 Jet, 4 BA in use. Once he is sure no more assistance is required, he would send a "Stop" message. |

playmobil make US style helmets that are really nice actually, hard to find though.
the dispatch would be for crews to respond to the box ?????.
might start as a 10-33, odor of smoke, so smoke issuing.
they would then ask for a 10-75 possibly, which would be 4 engines, 2 trucks, 2 BCs, and a FAST unit.

Yeah, they're ok. It's a bit of a job to get them into/out of the cabs so I might have to make them bigger! Shame about the turnout gear too; I might have to try to make some American style helmets somehow. Any thought on how this incident might be described in a message beck to dispatch in the US? |
