Very pretty, besides the dead man of course. I may sound daft wondering this, or maybe it's a religious thing, but what is Flanders' Fields? Because the first thing I think of when I hear "Flanders" is the Simpsons. Anyways, a very nice remembrance creation, great work!

I'll remember my great-grandfather.

Flowers and water on the bottom kind of take away a little of it. Really water only was there when it was raining, and it would absorb into the dead bodies and dirt quickly (one or two days). Flowers of course would be burned and destroyed right before or at the begging of a battle/months of trench taking. Anyway, good message none the less, so I salute those who have served/serving [My Dad was in the Navy on subs and in the Gulf War, My Great Grandfather was in WWII (Famous battles, Battle of the Bulge, he was in the Rhineland among other things). He received a Bronze Star for his actions between April and May 1945. He was a Sergeant and in The 25th Armored Engineer Corps C Company. He Died in the 80's. My Uncle is serving in Iraq or Afghanistan right now(Army), my Great uncle was in the Air Force; He was a meteorologist for the Air Force. I think he went over seas I'm not certain.]. There could be others from my family before the parts of my family came to America, so they should be remembered also. We should also remember everyone that has served alongside the U.S. and in the U.S. Armed Forces, not just those we are related to or are close to. May whatever god/force that these men and women that served/serving believe in bless them. Thank you Veterans for protecting Peace, Justice, and Freedom. A quote by (I think) F.D.R. A famous poem, perfect for remembering the brave men and women who have fought for us. I know several veterans - fortunately all still living - personally. They have earned our thanks well.

I highly doubt any flowers were left when the trench war got serious, but I appreciate the symbolism. I love a good trench MOC.
