Stop Monkeying Around
About this creation
It's that time of year again when the great Nannan Z asks us to help out a worthy cause. Toys for Tots! We've been asked to build and donate a Lego creation that will be auctioned off with all proceeds being donated to Toys for Tots!

I knew I wanted to be a part of this event again this year, the only problem I had was figuring out what to build. Last year I built a Santa's Work shop (now in the hands of the winning bidder, Lee Jones) but I wanted to do something... different this year.

After seeing some cool little planes designed by Tom Simon (basic design TOTALLY stolen from him with some minor modifications. Thanks Tom!), I had this image in my head of those planes attacking a monkey on top of a micro city layout... we can all see where this is going right?

So here it is in all it's glory! This creation is up for bid at Nannan's Bricklink store and all proceeds go to charity!

Fourth Wall Commentary:

For those interested in this, or any of the other amazing creations, just click
here to go to Nannan's Bricklink store! Even if you don't want to purchase Lego and simply want to donate to Toys for Tots, there's an option for that as well.

KIDS! I mean this... TALK TO YOUR PARENTS FIRST before donating or attempting to bid on ANYTHING online.

Till next time true believers!
~Chris.

NOTE: As this creation will be sold to the lucky bidding war winner, there is NO AFOL brick in this build.

EDIT: Yes of COURSE everything is stuck in place with pins and what not. The entire creation is connected. You can turn it left, right and upside down and that boat (or any of the buildings) aren't going anywere. Just in case you were wondering...

EDIT: This creation sold to a gentleman named Tyler (last name and address withheld) and raised $110 for the Toys for Tots auction! I signed it for him (as requested) and shipped it to him and he's now got it on display in his home. Thanks Tyler! Hope you enjoy it!

Quoting Paul Wellington Hey Chris, as you may or may not know I'm working on a micro city tribute of MOCpages. Right now I'm up to six cities (including permission for Shannonia!) and would like to include your city in the tribute. You would receive full credit and a link to your page. Thanks!
Short answer, absolutly! Long answer is on one of your mocs. Good luck!

What? Chris Phipson has a heart? Who would have known. But seriously, it's cool that you are donating to such a good cause. I would have a hard time parting with any of my lego, so maybe I'll just go and buy some of these creations to do my part.

Nice, if I had any money I think I'd donate some, but I don't have any money, due to that thing called Bricklink.

Toys for tots is a worthy organization, I'm glad that so many builders give up some of their precious lego to raise money. Well done, sir!

I guess I'm not going to bid on this one. It would feel somewhat narcissistic.

I can't think of a better use for the planes. And you went for the full cockpit. I had ruminated over that. You get the banana. The micro layout is cool. The window colors are fetching, and the little carrier? is cute. Did we cover the banana already?

Quoting Lee Hardwick Very nice, do you know if we can bid from England or is it American only?
Absolutly you can bid from anywhere! I know some of the guys might worry about shipping costs and what not, but if you're the lucky winner and you live in England (or where ever) then I'm shipping it to ya!
