This Firehouse is based on that of Engine 3, Ladder 12 on West 19th street in Manhattan.
It is special to me because my first job in NYC was on the same block. It was back when Ladder 12 ran with a beat up old 95' mid-mount Mack/Arielscope. I'd see them going out or returning from a run and the black smoke that was emitted from that rig was awful. They now have a 95' Seagrave Tower that appears to run much cleaner.
your work is astonishing, exept that there is nt nearly enough pics to show the overall apearance, too bad since you re incredibly talented,a shot of a row of these buildings for any city is to dream of! do you also make vehicles? lets see!
Even though the prototype of this fire station is not built in one of my favorite architectural styles, you did a great job depicting that post WWII modernism especially with the tiles on the second floor.
