Sojourner V
Built on the Sojourner IV frame, the V has a lot more features and design changes. With a bit more playability, I may say.
About this creation

In all its glory! This thing fills my entire photo studio! Here is the Sojourner IV . Engineer makes some repairs on an outer nacelle.

Here's close-ups of some of the greebling that I've done. I think it fleshes out the design quite a bit.

Flight deck. Here is where the pilot practically lives. There and in the sleeping quarters. I finally found another use for those Iceplanet chainsaws.

That red magnifying glass piece serves as a HUD.

Command deck. The purpose of this deck is to control the operations of the vessel-air pressure, fluid dispersion, fantasy football teams-as well as the weapons deck which we will see in a moment.

The Command deck also houses the core analysis chamber, as this vessel is primarily for peaceful exploration.

Weapons deck. Pretty much negates defensive 'blind spots' that the pilot can't hit with the forward weapons array. Not much to see here, but it was worth a look.

Quarters deck. Sleeping/eating area where the crew gets its R&R.

I expanded the sleeping area from 1 to 2 beds using a bunk arrangement. Foot lockers for storage.

Engineering deck. Here's the engine core of the beast.

I added the control arm (maybe in this picture or one lower, going back and forth to check makes me dizzy) as well as the external access port. Once he dons his oxygen tanks, he just depressurizes the entire deck and goes out.

All suited up with the EVA 'bot. Gives him a strong arm with repairs and he doesn't need a cumbersome tether to the ship.

Here is a comparison shot with my beloved Sojourner XI . I had no idea the V would be so much larger when I started building it.

Quoting Yuri Fassio I always liked your "sojourner" designs and this is no exception, but I liked the colors of the S IV better :)
Thank you! I started to do it in the same color, but I have so much more trans orange elements than trans green. Plus, it would have looked too similar to the IV.

Awesome. Love the cockpit area. Super detailed. Great job using the old school blacktron guys. Just picked up 4 of them - pristine condition on bricklink. Intending on making something of this nature using some old blacktron / spyrius sets.

God I love the simplicity of this. Who knew black and transorange go well together?! This strangely reminds me of Nannan's Prisoner Pod.

Very nice, I like the use of big dishes though I think they have been used better on the sojourner IV with the upside down ones, great job anyway

The rings remind me of perpetual energy devices, which are in the shape of disks. Does this thing use PE devices for internal power?

Quoting Aidan Bryant Nice use of that shark canopy, I think I have one of those kicking around too. Well I love the shape, as for access, have you tried those 4x4 hatches that attach with the "fingers?"
No, I haven't heard of those. What part are they?

Cool multilayer ship. Seems a bit heavily armed for an "exploration ship" though. Too bad you didn't have room for stairs or ladders going between levels. Perhaps the minifigs have a single person short range teleportation device?

Magic! No, they have access, I just couldn't find a way to build that in.
