the old R.E.S. Q is back !
About this creation
1998, R.E.S. Q
Highly efficient resque units operate in disaster areas, vehicles suplied with lots of equipment,
A tornado, hurricane, tsunami, earthquak,... no disaster the R.E.S.Q team can't handle

catalog pictures found on Peeron.com (here)
So I made my own vehicle, 5-wide, a minifigure almost fits in it (without helmet), it wasn't easy to realize that since I used the same technique as I did on my american muscles. this car is less fragile however.
the title of this moc is the same as one of the sets in the theme, 6445 Emergency Evac, it was my first set in this series,
I also had 6462 Aerial Recovery (the helicopter)

In those days I actually played with my lego's and you can see that in the sticker on the trunk piece :P
in those days stickers sticked better it seems (I tried getting it off since it doesn't look like much now anyway but I simply can't)

The black slope bricks with yellow-black stickers came from an exo force set but I'm not sure which (I bought someone's lego so I don't know precisly what sets he had)

The jackhammer, circular saw, grappling hook and line handle where also introduced in this series, ofcourse I equipped my vehicle with those (the grappling hook is in the trunk).

I hope you liked it, the only thing I missed in the series were bloody casualties, damaged minifigures with blood-printed torso's or something like that, maybe a neck embracer,... :P

Great looking rescue vehicle! If yo really want those stickers off, I recommend using a product called Goo Gone. It works great, but I don't know if it's available in Europe. You could also try peanut butter... yes, I said peanut butter. The oil loosens and removes all that sticky left over stuff pretty well without damaging the plastic, it's just a bit messy. For printing, like on minifigs, use Brasso.
peanut butter ??? I would have never though of that :P |

Nice revamp, I like how you've managed to keep all the little features. Seeing as everybody else has made comments about how old this is I would have been a toddler when these were around. It's also nice to see that Lego used to use silly puns like they do today...R.E.S.Q...:) |
