McLaren F1
After 5 days of building...its finally here. This thing was a pain train to build.
About this creation
This is one of those cars I've always wanted to build, and never could... After giving up on a previous version 2 or 3 years ago, I never gave it a 2nd thought. Until now, that is. I figured with all my spiffy yellow bricks the project would go reasonably smoothly. Then I saw how many opening compartments there were. It looks like a Transformer morphing into a robot. I can happily say I duplicated all of them...

Front Views

The front turned out well, I think

Side Views

The Side vents could be deeper, but I didn't have the parts or know-how to do so.

This thing Nomnomnomed up all my yellow bricks... I had to take the hood ornament off my Grifo to finish the darn thing!

The front hood scoop

The roof scoop

Back Views

The back was surprisingly mild for a car topping 232 odd mph...

Opening Parts

Trunk, doors, side panels, back panel, hood...

you name it, it opens.

Engine Shots

The shiny gold lined BMW V-12

Interior Shots

3 seats because 2 seats just couldn't cope with the epicness of a McLaren F1.(Or more passenger room, either way the owner wins.

You managed to make all the opening compartments open very well; I always seem to have trouble with that. Also, as you mentioned, nice work on the butterfly door hinging. I think that certain areas could be a bit cleaner, but of course this is a difficult car to build, and the overall shape is great! It is very recognizable, awesome car!

Absolutely incredible how you managed all the opening stuff in such a "tiny" vehicle - unbelievable! I can easily recognize the McLaren F1 in it... Cheers, Jens

Quoting Mattyy 666 the real car is short indeed, but this just seems a bit too short, but that might only be me
It is kind of... off. I personally think it's a bit tall, which makes it look like its not long enough. And about me posting fast, I can post another car today if you'd like.=P

Nice, But seems a bit messy. Good job on fitting all the opening things. Mattyy... he probably made it short because the real one is short.
