Talk about building to the last minute! I'm sure Mr Xenomurphy's got this one in the bag with his amazing entry, BUT, I didn't want to go down without a fight! This is my entry for the final round of the Dem Bones Haunted Halloween Contest! This is for the category "Monster Movie Diorama". I went through a ton of ideas before arriving at one of my favorite Tim Burton movies. Like many others, work really constrained my time to work on this. I wanted to add much more detail to the ground of the "set", but I'm happy with how the figures turned out. The horse was by far the hardest build since I've never built a Lego horse before. All in all, I'm very please with this build, but I'd like to know what you all think. As always, please RATE and COMMENT and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-I'm promoting my latest moc which I am going to post tomorrow morning(for those in America) This afternoon(for those in Europe) and tonight for
those in Asia. It is my biggest Moc yet, a 48X48 dio called At The Carnival! One thing to look out for is the 'death' of Flare. Also special appearances of some other Mocers. So stay tuned! There is a WIP photo of it on my homepage. Check it out!
You are featured in this MOC. Thanks!
I must complement you on your build and idea. However, the presentation was just a little lacking, compared to some of the other entries. I would have liked to see this against a black background to make it a little spookier. 14 points.
Lets make a list of all the awesome aspects of this moc, shall we? Alright, We've got an epic cape, Custom build figures, the worlds coolest lego horse EVER, and a headless guy! Yeah, I think that's worth 15 points too!
The striking feature of this MOC is the custom-built characters. Everybody's been wowwed by the cape. Include me in that list. The horse, trees, and non-headless dude seems cramped together. Perhaps a bigger base would have allowed the scene to breathe. Score = 14.
Cool, the figures look awesome as usual, and the horse looks great considering it's your first attempt at building a horse, but if I could tell you any way to improve I think the horse looks a little bit too wide. Very good overall though. :)
Wow dude, excellent rendition here! I think you're right, a little bit of ground work would have went a long way. As it is your figures are excellent, that cape is spectacular! Score of 14. Good luck with the other judges.
