Custom minifigs based on the three heroes (Nate, Sully, & Elena) from the PS3 game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.
About this creation
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Such a great videogame! Without a doubt, it’s one of my favorite games of all time. I’ve made these minifigs as an attempt to replicate, as closely as possible, the heroes (Nate, Sully, & Elena) from the videogame using LEGOs, some customization of official LEGO pieces, and unofficial LEGO accessories sold by BrickArms (www.brickarms.com). The BrickArms accessories are Nate’s shotgun and pistol and Sully’s magnum.
Also, I drew all of their decals myself. By ‘decals’ I mean the stickers on the torsos, backs, wrists, legs, and faces of the minifigs. Not every figure has all of those things, but you get the idea. If they’re there, I drew them. :)
Now, on to the figures…

This is Nathan Drake, but his friends call him Nate (and Sully gets to call him ‘kid’). He’s played by the incredibly talented Nolan North. Nate’s my favorite character… in anything. Ever.
I actually started working on Nate’s decals during Christmas 2009, when I first played Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. The game took me by surprise, and I was determined to make minifigs for it – and make them as detailed as possible. Turns out that took me much longer than I anticipated, as I would frequently hate what I had drawn and stop working on them due to my extreme dissatisfaction with their appearance. But now here they are, finally completed!

Here’s Nate with his shotgun. I took this view from the side so that you could see the detail I put into Nate’s wristband, since I didn’t want that to be overlooked… it’s a shame the details always come out so small.
Also, Nate’s hairpiece is shaved down to look right, as you can probably tell. It took me a while to be satisfied with it, and to be honest, I’m still not sure if I really am satisfied with it, but it’ll do for now. Also, his face is a custom decal – I couldn’t find an official LEGO head that really struck me as Nate. Again, I’m not sure if I’m satisfied with it or not, but anyway, enough of that… you have to understand: when it comes to Nathan Drake, I try to make things as accurate as possible. And I’m very picky.

Here’s Elena Fisher, one of Nate’s two companions throughout Drake’s Fortune, played by Emily Rose, another outstanding actor (or in this case, actress).
Elena’s decals were a bit tricky, as she wears a pink tanktop over a white one. I was going to use a pink torso, but since those are very rare, I went with white instead. I was also going to make her a face decal, but I found I wasn’t very good at it, so I settled for an official LEGO head. Her pistol is made from a customized LEGO rifle.

This is Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan, Nate’s steadfast friend, played by another great actor: Richard McGonagle. I should probably stop pointing out how great the cast of the game is, as I think they all did an amazing job. Anyway…
Sully’s decals were pretty simple, thankfully. I had fun making the design on his shirt, just as I had fun drawing the skull and crossed swords belt buckle that Nate has. I also gave Sully some arm decals to portray his short-sleeved shirt; not the best ever, but short sleeves aren’t really something that happens to LEGO figures.

Here’s the heroes of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Nate can’t actually use a pistol and a shotgun at the same time in-game, by the way; I just gave him both of those because that’s what he’s holding on the game’s cover (even if I did put them in the opposite hands from the cover in this picture - silly me!).

Here are their back decals. You can’t read it in this picture, sadly, but I had to write NDI in the center of Nate’s harness, since I loved that little detail – Naughty Dog Incorporated, I assume (the developers of the game, if you’re confused). You probably already noticed this, but did you know that Nathan Drake shares initials with Naughty Dog?

And here’s the final picture: the heroes ready for action! I admit, I have a somewhat unhealthy crush on Nathan Drake. He’s fantastic.
One of my favorite things about Nate is his quips. I’ll have to take a “I will kick you to sleep!” picture at some point, after I make some of the villain minifigs…
That’s all for now; thanks for viewing (and reading)! I hope you liked the figures. I plan to make many more in the future, so stay tuned!
And remember, if you haven’t played Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, you should play it beginning to end. It’s a fantastic experience (and remember, watching the cut-scenes on YouTube does *not* count!).

Ah, these are beautiful figs! Though I've never played Uncharted, like most other people, I have seen cut scenes, and game-play videos. So, I can say these are the best uncharted figs I've seen! Why they have only four comments I have no idea. They certainly deserve more! |

Dang! Your minifigures are always so incredibly detailed; my jaw always finds its way to the floor, where I never bother to pick it up, because it'll just drop again and again, until I finish staring at your masterpieces. (And then I go back and look at them again...) If leaving my computer for a week means you'll post more fantastic minifigures, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. (Faster then that even, probably.) My favorite aspects are Nathan's “Jolly-Roger” belt buckle and Elena's shorts (I'll have to try something like that next time I attempt to fit one of my figs with short pants.) but there isn't anything here that isn't praise worthy. Great job, Maegan, these are amazing! |

Very niice. Personally, I have not played either of the Uncharted games, which sucks becuase I've heard so much about them. I *have* watched a few cutscenes on YouTube (am I really BAD?), and I love them, and the figs look really accurate.
Kudos! |

"My God, Sully... do you know what this is?! It's Uncharted LEGO minifigs!" "Nate, I'm gettin' too old to be prancin' around a white void all day. I wanna go someplace warm!" Translation: You need to make a dio, Maegan. :P Awesome figs all the same! |
