Fire and Darkness Anouncement! (Mills' Mission)
Some time soon I am starting my first actual Halo series. The series will be called Fire and Darkness, and will tell the tale of an ODST Team deployed on Reach. Some where in the story the squad will be separated and their Captain must find they rest of the squad to get off Reach. This series will be late in the future,so I can finish up some things and buy some pieces.
About this creation

This is a sneak peak of Master Sergeant Tyler Millsí mission. Even though he is away from the team doesnít mean he cant help others defend the planet.

His current objective is to help marines re-take an underground base from the Covenant, command doesnít know what they are looking for but they donít want the Covenant to have whatever it is. In this particular scene Tyler threw a charge into the bunker window and blew the Covenant forces to pieces

While the charge detonates the Marines push their way to the entrance.

Assuming enemy opposition estimates are correct, this mission should go well.

This marine should listen the next time ĎFIRE IN THE HOLE!íis called.

Within minutes this force will be inside the base.

//Fourth wall Commentary and bonus pictures//- For this build I attempted a new technigue that I have never done before.

One of the baseís communication arrays, with some bonus greebling.

The back of the array, the controls have been removed so as to disappoint Covenant forces.

Behind the scene, nothing special.

In case youíre wondering hereís how I kept the explosion in place.

I made a hole in the rock formation then decided to fill it with air vents for the base.

Now a close up of the explosion, hot isnít it.

Now to remove figs and show you the new technique I tried.

Itís not a new technique to most builders but this is my first time using angles for landscaping. I tried to make the rock face the best I could, what do you think?

Without the explosion.

Here my newly camo-ed marines, they will be coming soon in many more colors.

The explosions are good, but in my opinion, the landscaping looks a bit too greebly and random- you should have made small hills made of plates and similar parts (I'm talking about studs-on-top landscaping, not snot landscaping)

Just a heads-up: A few people in the NEOS want to begin the tournament early. If the majority of the competitors want to do this, then my fellow judges and I will start the contest either next monday (Nov. 1) or the monday after. If you are against this, please voice your objections in the NEOS group in the appropriate thread. If you do not post an objection, you will be considered in favor of starting the contest early. Thanks, and keep on building!

Oh some negative stuff here. First off, rocks are ment to be random for a reason. Second I dont know where you thought SNOT techniques were involved because there are none... And third I prefer the use of angles to plates.
