Well, here goes nothing. My entry for the Mocpages Survival Contest in the category Fruitron.
About this creation
Group Home
Well, apparently the Random Number God has placed a curse upon me. Fruitron? I don't even own any lego fruit! So now I get to go and stretch the category to the point of tearing with my entry, the Neo Fruitron Banana Boat. It's a light freighter used for the hauling of bananas to global markets across the galaxy.
Let's start out with a lovely 3/4 view of the ship. Yes, this is the main picture. I'm glad you noticed.

Now then, when gazing upon the side of the craft you will notice several things. I'd like to point out some of those things to those of you who are less observant. First: It's unarmed. Second, it has large cargo pods attached to the underside in a tasteful and practical manner. Third, it is made from a large yellow raft. If you did not notice the third you have problems that I cannot help you with.

Moving in for a closer look you will see a fascinating arrangement of grills, transparent studs, and clips. They serve some bizarre purpose that has yet to be determined. It is believed they direct enemy fire to nonvital portions of the ship by looking more important than they really are.

Much like the Lance Frigate I recently built, this thing has three engine nacelles. Unlike the Lance Frigate, this thing is slow. Excruciatinly slow, even.

Now, the top rear portion proves to be far more appealing to the eye, granting the viewer more things to look at. Like the bridge. And the raft. And the fin without a purpose.

The observant viewer would note the little discs attached to the side of the craft. Which is why I'm pointing it out to you. Isn't it neat?

The rear portion is very... Sloped? Pointy? I don't know, put your own adjective there.

And now we have the bridge. It reminds me of White Base from Mobile Suit Gundam. I hated White Base. I always wanted to the Zakus to just blow it up already. Yes, I'm a horrible person.

I'd be worried if I were you. Ever seen what happens when a car gets hit by an 18 wheeler? Imagine that in space. Scared yet?

Overview!

Far more intersting (And sexy) underside! Hurray for the underside! Note the cargo pods again. These are where the bananas are stored. Lots and lots of bananas. For realz.

And that's it for this last-ditch attempt! Please make your way past the Hallway of Famous Last Stands, through the Gallery of Doomed Attempts, and exit by the Closet of Despair. Don't forget to visit our gift shop! We have T-shirts and collectable coffee cups!

reminds me of your smugglers life for me entry... or does it? gotta refresh mah mem'ry
That's because it's the lovechild of my smuggler ship and my last microspaceship. If it looks like something I've already done, it probably is ;) |

Greebles are what I do best! That and semi-amusing writeups and bad puns.

And I give you 20 points... you would've garnered more if it was more "fruity"... (and BTW, 22 points is not the highest score given so far in this competition, one entry has recieved two twenty-five point scores)
Thanks! I understand 22 points is not the highest score given. However, it is the highest score I was given, and that's what I was referring to. |

That's one mean banana boat with steroid-laced potassium power! Amazing greebles!
Steroids are for wimps. We use Amphetamines mixed with a potent Halucinogen. It ups the sale value of our cargo, and helps us pass the time on long space voyag- OH GOD, THE SPIDERS ARE EVERYWHERE! GET'EM OFF! GET'EM OFF!

Cool. 22 Points.
New high score! Please enter your initials to claim your score.

Prepare to dive! Nice!
... But it's a raft... It's not supposed to dive... Or is it? Egad, everything I've based my life around is a lie!

Fruitz. I haz them. Great job of making something wondrous from that kind of category. ~Waff
I just hope I don't have to do it again. With my luck, I'll have to build something without using the color grey. And that would be bad. Very very bad. |

Worthy competition, me-thinks. Great work! Love the raft. 5/5 says the Rating God, who put a blessing on you. I didn't like building for whatever "Fruitron" is either... But I might appreciate it one day. It could make a pretty cool group/theme now that I think about it.
Thanks! I'm sure it could, but I doubt I'd be able to build in it. It would require far cleverer builders than I.

Hehe, nice ship.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Excellent build, I really like this; in fact it's the best entry I've seen in this round by a large margin. Well done, 20/25!
Thanks! I appreciate such a high score!

Seeing as I lack fruit pieces and colorful parts in general, this category was a worst-case scenario for me. |
