My first Lego gun on MOCpages: Custom SMG. It doesn't shoot anything yet, but I'm making a mechanism to it. Idon't know does it look like some real gun, but if it does, please tell me!
Enjoy!

No, assault rifles fire anything other than pistol rounds. SMGs fire pistol rounds. |

Great! thanks for adding it to my group btw. It looks vaguely like an AK-74. The Magazine looks cool! |

Uh, McJanbo? Assault rifles DO have to have a stock, unless they're of a bullpup design, like the P90 or AUG. And this isn't a bullpup. I posted that one whilst running on about an hour of fitful sleep, so lay off. |

Nice gun it has a aks74u type magizine ump45 type sights and a front and muzzle that resemble the SMG from FEAR. McJanbo is right the other guys facts were all wrong assult rifle don't need stocks it just makes them controllable the charging handle or cocking handle is an acutal part of the gun with the bolt inside the gun on most modern assault rifles. Regarding what the other guy said an assult rifle does not fire full size rifle rounds that is an battle rifle that fires those. Assult rifles fire mid size rounds in between smg and br. Smg fire handgun rounds and Lmg midsize gmpg midsize to full power hmg large calibers like .50
Uh... Am I right when I say that WW2 guns like mp40 has bolt outside the gun? |

Square Box, that elliot guy has some points, but they're all wrong. An assault rifle doesn't have to have a stock. You can have a stockless, if you want more moving space. Ofcourse, it's not so accurate, but, it is possible. Also, the "cocking-handle" is the handle which you load/reload the gun with. The "bolt" is the part that pushes the bullet into the chamber (the bolt is inside the gun). Oh, I didn't notice the magazine is 4 studs long. But still, it's not the mag length of an assault rifle ;-) -Jan |

Well, I don't really know what gun I should do next, so if YOU have ideas, please tell me! But remember that I dont have too much Lego bricks so the gun can't be really big! |

Okay, honestly don't see how it looks anything like a shotty, but each to his own. I just figured-out which SMG it looks like; or more accurately, SMGs. A stock-less MP-5 Navy crossbred with an AK-74u. |

I really love the way it looks, it looks deadly powerful! If the magazine would be wider, I'd say it looked like a shotgun.
Shotgun?... :) |

Okay. The 'Cocking-handle' is called a bolt, by the way. I don't mean to correct everything, but it's just one of my pet peeves. Oh, thanks! Well You can correct more things if you want!
Critic is welcome!

Uh, dude? Hate to break it to you, but that's not an assault rifle; it's a submachine-gun. An assault-rifle has to have a stock and must fire rifle rounds. Wiki it. Great creation none the less.
Yep, I know that. I changed it to SMG!.. |

Looks good. I think you should name it an SMG, because of the small magazine (3 studs wide!). It looks a little like an MP5, in my opinion. Take a look at my guns, if you need inspiration! -Jan
Um... the Mag is four studs wide... But i might change it to SMG! |
