An assault carrier and an LPD (Landing Platform Dock) are both types of ships that can execute amphibious landings by releasing Marines aboard helicopters and air Cushion landing craft. Both of these ships can deploy helicopters off the top deck, and air cushion landing craft out a rear well deck.
The Stealth LPD, of which there are 12 in the Oceanian Navy.
The Assault Carrier, of which there are 4 in the Oceanian Navy: The O.N.S. Wellingotn, O.N.S. Brisbane, O.N.S. Kaohsiung, and O.N.S. Bangkok.
The Stealth LPD can carry 6 helicopters, 2 air cushion landing craft, and a full compliment of marines and their equipment and vehicles.
The Wellington Class Assault Carrier can carry upwards of 30 helicopters, 20 AMF-66 VSTL Naval attack planes, 2 air cushion landing craft, and a full compliment of marines and their equipment and vehicles.
On the rear of both ships, there is a door to access the well deck where LCACs are stored.
