TFOL Survival 101
Finally I have finished my contest entry. Sorry if this MOC offends anyone. It’s my entry for the ‘TFOL Survival 101’ Contest. Enjoy!
About this creation
It’s hard surviving being a TFOL (Teenage fan of Lego). My sig-fig is here to show all the frustrations in the TFOL life.

Firstly, all the AFOLs drive around with all their cool cars that us TFOLs can’t drive. Because they can drive their own cars they can buy Lego when they want to. With TFOLs, well we just have to nag our parents to go to the shops.

Well, most of the cars are cool.

The second problem is how small our rooms are. With all the furniture put in there is hardly any space to build.

AFOLs have a lot more space to build. I mean, some of them even have ROOMS specifically for Lego.

Some even have enough money to make life sized lego collectable minifigures.

Also AFOLs have jobs. Jobs give them money and money buys them Lego. Do TFOLs have jobs? No. I heard that Monkeys could even get jobs.

HappyBaboon: Hello, you must be Mister Bones.
Bones: And you must be ….. Matt David?
HappyBaboon: No actually, I’m Dr. HappyBaboon with a PhD in mental health.
Bones: Mental Health? I thought this was a pizza shop.

HappyBaboon: A pizza shop! (*Under breath* he must be loony) Thank you for coming Mr. Bones now have a seat.
Bones: Hey Dr. who’s that guy over there. I think I might know him from somewhere

HappyBaboon: Well you see Mister Bones that is just a plastic skeleton. I think you might be hallucinating. You require a check-up.

HappyBaboon: I am sorry to say this Mister Bones, but you appear to be dead.

Bones: Now how many times has that been told to me?
HappyBaboon: In conclusion I think that you are also mad and have quite a few mental issues. Do you see shadows moving by themselves?
Bones: Uhh…
HappyBaboon: I thought so. To treat this disease each morning you must run around the house screaming until you are exhausted.
Bones: No I'm not going to do that it’s mad!
HappyBaboon: I thought we already established that.

Well who said that work couldn’t be fun? But back to TFOL survival; the only way that I survive on mocpages is by being in a group called The TFOL Private Club. In fact I’m going there right now.

Oh yeah, about the private part. Well it used to be private until the KFOL built there rainbow base next door.

Hey what this? A Storm Trooper Kiddie. (I heard that they've come back into fashion.) What does he want?

5t0rm Tr00p3r Kiddie: H3Y DUD35 CH3CK 0UT M0I M0C5!!

As I was saying The TFOL Private Club has a meeting every day. But you don't always need to turn up, unless you're Flare. But today unsurprisingly he wasn't there.

A.A.: Come in Nathan we were just about to start.

A.A.: As you probably already know, Flare is not here today. He's been killed again, so today I'm in charge.

*scattered cheering*

A.A.: Obviously the first thing we will do is to revive Flare.

A.A.:Luckily I have just installed the Flareviver 2000. We should get him back in a giffy. But before that.....

A.A.: Ta Da!!!
Zylo Uxakah: Why are you dressed up?
A.A.: Oh no reason really. I just got it at a bargain price on Ebay. What do you think?
Green Man:I think it's pretty nice. Do you think I should get that Spartan costume, I think it looks really neat.
Cody G: I myself think that you should get that Halo costume Green.
Swift ~:No I reakon that COD uniform was sweeter.

As you see we TFOLs get sidetracked really easily but eventually we got back to the point.

A.A.: Espen can you please get the Flare remnants.
Espen Stålder:Okay

Espen Stålder:This was the only bit left of him.
A.A.: Thats okay.

A.A.: Now you will all be wondering how this works. The clothes are in the left compartment and the remains section is in the right. When you put the remnants on the conveyer belt the machine automatically turns on and starts to work. Now all we will have to do is watch.

*insert machine noises*

A.A.: It still needs some adjustments. (If you can't see he's upside down.)

Flare.: Thanks No Name (A.A.'s nickname) for reviving me again. Now time to plot my revenge!
A.A.: But... don't we have a meeting?
Flare.: Revenge is more important than meetings. They can wait.

Well I guess the meeting didn't turn out as well as I had planned.

Fourth wall commentary: Well that's the end of my contest entry. This took me quite a while, not including the long time it took me to type it up. I will just show you a few extra photos.

This is Chris Phipson's Lego town. My favourite bit is the bridge and the river.

Also this is what The TFOL Private Club meeting should actually look like.

Finally this is a picture of all of the sig-figs I used. Try and figure out who is who. The sig-figs include A.A., Flare, Cody G, Chris Phipson, Mister Bones, Dr. HappyBaboon PhD, Andrew Larkum, Heath 'kik36' Flor, Klay, Swift ~, Dennis Price, Green Man, Zylo Uxakah, Sir Broccoli ..., Matthew Novosad and best of all ME!

* Klay and Sir Broccoli ... are no longer in The TFOL Private Club.

Quoting Swift ~ Oh, and what the heck is COD? I'm assuming not Cash On Delivery?
COD stands for Call Of Duty, it's a war game. Don't worry, I didn't know that meaning until a little while back anyway.

Sweet. Thanks for making me!

Haha! I understand the frustration. I buy my own Lego, but have very limited space to build, I'll admit. It usually means taking over the living room for a few weeks at a time. My Dad *cough* doesn't mind, err, he tolerates it. I have seven siblings, so I guess anywhere to build in our little house is a good thing! Nonetheless, fun build, and strive to be the best of the AFOL's when the time comes. Bwahaha...

It's great! I do have some of the problems mentioned above. But if this was a test I would be considered an AFOL because I do have a job, I buy LEGO® at Bricklink, and I have my own room for LEGO® only :p. I'm just 16 though. But I'm lucky with my job, and my special LEGO® room, so for most TFOLS this is a real pain in the *ss. I do love the builds and the funny dialogues are great. Good luck in the contest! Greets, Jelle
