At the Dawn of Humanity on what is to be called Earth, a war weary Fleet arrives.
About this creation
They are the Survivors of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol, the few remaining Humanoid Cylons, and the last of the Thirteenth Tribe. Forgoing all of their advanced technology, the crews and civilians of the Fleet descend upon their new home. The Rebel Cylon Base Ship with its Centurions is freed to explore the Galaxy.

Although the Battlestar Galactica was severely damaged in the last battle of the Cylon Colony, the Cylon repair resin placed months earlier has begun to heal the ship from within...
Aboard the Galactica, Samuel T. Anders is ordered to set course for the Sun to destroy the entire Fleet forever...

150 Thousand Years into the Future:
The year is 2079, and the manned exploration of the Solar System has begun. Like the prospectors of the American West, Mining Ships scour the Asteroid Belt in search of a new, highly volatile mineral used to fuel space and atmospheric vehicles alike.

"Captain, You have to see this!"
"If this is another rock that looks like your...What the..?"
"What could it be?"

"Some kind of ship or depot, but not anything I've seen or heard about...Somebody's been busy."
"But Sir, there aren't any lights or anything?"
"Settle down...Let's go poke around."

"Holy..."
"Who coulda built this?"

"This is Unreal... Can you get a measurement on it?"
"It's gotta be over 1500 meters!"

"OK, fire up the digger, Let's go check it out!"

"Any action over there yet--Do you see anything? "
"Nothin'...I don't get it. This thing looks ancient somehow."

"Some kinda massive landing bay..."

"I see doors and docking systems, but...Weird."
"Alright, let's see if we can find a hatch."

"OK, we're in Captain..."
"No atmosphere, looks pretty dead...Where IS everybody?"

In a Distant area of the Galaxy, 134 Light years from Earth, sensors detect a faint radiological detonation....

Really nice story and well presented too. Details and look on the builds used in the story are.. Well, excellent as always with your works - well beyond my own skills and patience :-) I remember looking through a couple of BSG episodes a while ago and you really are good at presenting the stories. You would probably be great at making hollywood movie storyboards! And thanks for your comment on my build. It was updated a few days after posting so the yellow wheels are gone!
Thanks for the thoughtful comment! If you've got the time to read through these, I think you might enjoy them. But it might take you a while! |

Cool ships! Your photo editing is impressive and it's fun to see the ships in space, but I'd like to see better shots of the actual builds with a less distracting background as well.
That would be the difference between a story a dedicated build post. The Galactica, the Fleet, and the Baseship all had their own postings prior to the beginning of this story line. I did a separate post for the Hangar Deck, too, which I built toward the end of this first season. Thanks! |

Pretty amazing setting and graphics. What really catches me is the crew behind the window of the explorer ship. So sneaky. And well made. And, believe it or not, I had developed a similar plan yesterday as an option for upcoming tasks in MO2011. I might have to take a look on Battlestar G. Never seen any yet. But I do love to build space ships...

Well, it's pretty cool and all, but wouldn't the asteroid field totally destroy the ship in that time frame? I mean the odds of succesfully navagating an asteroid field is approximately 3,720 to 1... Very good LEGO creation... BUT. You picture the BSG in an asteroid field. Which is logical, otherwise the ship would have been discovered long ago by telescopes. But do you really think the BSG could survise 150'000 years in a field like that and still be in one piece ? unlikely. Remember that the BSG in the end of the show is about to break down and could only survice a few more jumps...
Yet I understand you don't want to break you ship to pieces to picture ā pile of crap as the remains of the BSG...
Well, I think our concept of the Asteroid Field in our Solar System has been influenced by what we've seen in sci-fi, especially that one in the last Star Wars episode. The density of asteroids in the Field is sparce, and the speed at which they fly around relative to each other is minimal. Therefore, the structural integrity of the hull, even over such a long time, should be just dandy! But thanks for the thoughtful input! |

nicely done. i too thought it was a waste destroying the fleet and figured that galactica could have crashed onto mercury or something but your astroid field works well. (As a side note it took 50-60 years story time for the base ships to transform from duel discs to duel tri-points. With 150k years i would expect change.)
I see your point concerning the Cylon base ship, although it is all alone in the Galaxy. They may have been limited somehow with their orders to 'explore', as opposed to creating a new Cylon civilization. That's assuming the entire base ship fleet was assembled at the Colony. Who knows. But I did assume that the base ship, like the Galactica, healed itself to it's original state. Thanks for the comment! |

Actually, as he stated the resin repairs the ship, thus creating a stronger frame.
And again, thus allowing the hull to survive many asteroid impacts..eventually it would orbit with the asteroid field and wouldn't be hit by any of the major rocks..
Learn something about space before next time please mate. :-)
Anyway, very cool Build, and yes the idea for it to hide in an asteroid field is quite an ingenious idea, and thus the statement "If it's another asteroid that looks like your..." Brilliant. XD
Thanks, Dude! I left that line for people to add their own idea of what an asteroid might look like. Elvis and Abe Lincoln came to mind... |

Is this an alternate ending(there's a small chance I missed an episode)!?! If so I like yours more than the official ending, quite a bit more actually. Sweet photo edit on the shot with Galactica and the small ship, came out great.
Thanks, Dude! It's an addition to the ending, or continuation, let's say...We'll see where it goes! |

I just have on issue. A ship of that size or any ship for that matter being stuck in an asteroid field for that long should get smashed to bitts, but maybe there is something at work here keeping the asteroids at bay. Aside from that, looks great, and a very classic sci-fi introduction as well.
Thanks for the comment. You know, I pondered that, too, but from what I read recently, the asteroids really aren't all that close together or necessarily zipping around that much, like in Star Wars VI. And I though it was a good place to hide. |

AMAZING as usual (I get so excited when you post new MOCs). But where did you get the cool ending?
Thanks-It's nice to have a fan! I made up the ending from where they left off at the end of the series. |

Wow, never seen anybody build the entire Colonial Fleet, and the sense of scale achieved with the landing bay pictures is very impressive. LOVE IT! |

But the Centurions are our friends... I hope they still are, at least. |
