Screaming Eagles no. 13: Armor and infantry on the right!
Spetember 19, 1944 We spent two days in Eindhoven during that time I couldnt get Elena to tell me anything something about the "story of the year" I dunno. Anyway we were heading up to Nuenen and our lack of armor worried me. But stil we were paratroopers and we'd get it done no matter what.
About this creation

We made our trip out of Eindhoven and northeast towards Nuenen where we would continue to secure the highway for the rest of the operation.

But as we entered Nuenen we started taking fire at first it was the occasional sniper but then one of our trucks was hit by a german rocket and he convoy ground to a halt.

Lt. Cmndr Barnes Williamson: Leftenant Harland, what happened here??
Lt. John Harland: Kraut rocket. It hit the ground right by the front left hand side of the truck and overturned it. The drivers dead but most everyone else is okay. Pretty shaken up though.

Lt Cmndr. Barnes Williamson: Hmm. Leftenant, take a group of your men and scout the rest of the town. See what else the Germans have in store for- Whats that sound?

And almost immediately the all to familiar sound of German armor turned into the hull of an enemy tank destroyer.
Lt Cmndr. Barnes Williamson: We've got kraut armor and infantry on the right!! Open fire!!

Lt Cmndr. Barnes Williamson: Harland get to that fire station and flank them! Move!
Lt. John Harland: Come on people lets go go go! Elena hurry!
Elena Parker: I'm running a fast as I can! Dont wait for me John!

Sgt. Shane Peterson: We're clear, sir!

Lt. John Harland: Nieman, Roberts clear this building out. Nieman you're on point.
Pfc. Noah Nieman: That figures...
Lt. John Harland: I dont have time for your lip, soldier I gave you an order!
Pfc. Noah Nieman: Yes sir!

Pfc. Noah Nieman: Hurry up, private we dont got all day!

Lt. John Harland: The rest of you are with me. C'mon we gotta move!

Almost as soon as we passed the doors five SS guys sprinted past us nearly hitting Elena.

Once they had passed we lept out ans let rip with automatic fire.

But very soon a German MG-42 opened fire and killed Cpl. Pike.

Lt. John Harland: Is everyone else okay? Elena?
Elena Parker: I'm fine. You dont need to worry about me John.
Lt. John Harland: Right..., Pvt. Olympis! Get a grenade on that MG!

Pvt Kriss Olympis: I'm on it! Grenade out!

In the meantime the British had problems of their own
Lt Cmndr. Barnes Williamson: Corporal, Get your rockets on that tank and take out!
Cpl. Clyde Richer: But sir the rockets werent-
Lt Cmndr. Barnes Williamson: No 'buts', man. Thats an order!
Cpl. Clyde Richer: Yes, yes sir

Cpl. Richer had the tank in his sights annd prepared to fire

But when he pulled the trigger the rocket exploded in the launcher and he was killed almost instantly.

Lt Cmndr. Barnes Williamson: What on earth just happened??
Sgt. Glen Streeter: The rocket blew inside the tube sir. It's messy. Sir that tank is bearing down on us! We cant hold 'em off!

Lt. Cmndr Barnes Williamson: Alright Sergent give the order to pull out. And get your men to give the yanks covering fire. Go!
Sgt Glenn: Yes sir! Alright boys get out of here! We'll cover you!

Lt Cmndr. Barnes Williamson: Sergent! Get over to Harland and his unit and tell them to pull out!

Sgt Glenn Streeter: Leftenant! Ge out of there, commander has ordered a retreat!

Lt. John Harland: You heard him! Move like you got a purpose! Pvt. Olympis you're on point cover us with that BAR

Lt. John Harland: Elena, be careful watch for grenades!
Elena Parker: Dont worry, I'll be fine.

But almost as soon as she said that a grenade behind her detonated.
Elena Parker: AAUGH!
Lt. John Harland: ELENA!!

Lt. John Harland: Oh no! Oh God please no!
Elena Parker: John, please help me!

Lt. John Harland: Dont worry. Your gonna be fine. C'mon lean on me, we're gonna make it.
Elena Parker: You promise?
Lt. John Harland: Yeah, I promise.

Nice. This is probably your best yet! Don't let her die! I was thinking, what about my character? He is going to be in, right? If he is maybe the story of the year is that she is getting married, to my character? I mean, that WAS my great-grandmother's name.
