The Hatchery
It is well known the toxins of man ultimately created the murderous insectoid race, but we never knew where they came from, until we discovered The Hatchery.
About this creation

Deep underground, there exists a master queen. All insectoids hatch from her eggs.

She lives deep in the earth, providing the irradiated royal jelly that allows all insectoids to grow to monstrous size.

Due to her grotesque mutant DNA, she can produce thousands of eggs every day.

There is no shortage of man's incurable refuse, the insectoids' lifeblood.

We cannot reach the Hatchery...

...for it is deep in the Earth.

Some call the insectoids Nature's cure for man.

We cannot survive their onslaught much longer.

God help us.

But then again...why should he?

Notes: I am happy to bring you the culmination of my re-imagining of the Insectoid line. A lot of work went into this one, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The goal of this project was to achieve a genuinely gross effect with LEGO bricks, which I normally consider quite adorable.

Thanks for looking. Namaste, LEGO builders.

This creation has been featured on The Brothers Brick.

Quoting The Dropbear O'_'O Great design. I love the way the wall breaks away to reveal the honeycomb structure. However I do have one question, is the inside out balloon tire technique (I assume that's what it is) an original idea? (I have been around for a few years and never seen it before) Or did you see it somewhere else? (if so where?) Anyway, Beautiful build, flawless design. This is one to be proud of. ~ Dan
