Journey To Immortality
A vignette on an 8x8 base demonstrating Pharaoh Brickhotep’s journey to immortality.
About this creation

Pharaoh Brickhotep has risen to power as the ruler of all Egypt. His enemies are destroyed, his land is at peace.

Brickhotep is not at peace though, he has one overlying goal….Immortality! He prays to Osiris, and even to Seth.

His prayers are not answered, and eventually he dies. His body is mummified and prepared for his sarcophagus.

For centuries, his body lies entombed in the Valley of the Kings, the immortality he prayed for a distant memory.

Or is it.

Brickhotep’s mummy rises from the grave, apparently, Seth was listening.

Dem Notes: We wanted to build a little Halloween type vig and this idea came to us while watching The Mummy, starring Boris Karlof. We are pleased with how this turned out, hope you all enjoyed it as well.

Quoting W. Mark You like making these towers, I see (insert snide remark here). I shall have to get my hands on some of those new Pharaoh's Quest elements... they've been put to great use here.
There are actually no PQ elements in this one. Parts are from Adv Egypt, Studios, and the Collectible Minifigs. Bit of the old and a bit of the new.

I'm just glad there is no height restriction, because I would have to COMPLETLY re-think my entry. Good idea to use this to clarify the whole base issue, since I see someone else already got DQ'd.

Ah, but I am just a simple chap. HAHAHA, Thanks! Yes the overhang was fun as I wanted it big, yet still stable, and it worked!

Quoting Matt David Does it play soft jazz music while he journeys upward? Then it gets to the top and you hear a "ding" and a woman's recorded voice, "Fourth Floor: Eternal Life."
Other way around, and the music changes from New Age to Gothic Metal as you go down.

Quoting Jelle Heijne Another great MOC, I love the timeline of steps in a single MOC. You did manage to make a huge area, and a complete environment within the limits of a small vignette, with not that much overhang. Did you forget some tiles at the bottom floor on purpose, to make it look old, or did you just not have enough parts... :p Greets, Jelle
On purpose to make it appear as if time had passed. Thanks for the kind words!

In the mummification level which set is that panel from with the one-toned hieroglyphs? I have most of the adventurers Egypt sets and I don't have that piece. Want it. It is cool.
That piece was in an Indiana Jones set that was based on the Raiders movie. The idea for the Annubis headmask came from that set as well, although I changed it a bit.
