My biggest MOC to date. Now that I look at it, it's not as good as I first thought, but it's still good for me. This is also an entry for the WMD Ryan-Andrew Missile Crisis.
About this creation
All right! Well, this being my highest accomplishment (in my opinion) yet, I shall present it with gusto. Also, so that you know, A LOT OF THE THINGS YOU SEE HERE ARE FROM CODY G! Sorry about the caps, but I had to let everyone know. I will specify which ones are his, and which are mine. In addition, I "GIMPed" (get it, gimped? Hahaha, that was so bad...) the background, so some of the shots look a little weird. White was just too plain for this... The last few shots are on a white background, just in case you need it. So, without further ado, the E.A.F. "Predator" Assault Class Mech

Here, we have a side view. Perhaps the thing I dislike about this build is that it looks a little unbalanced. I guess I will just have to work on that next build...

This view looks slightly better, for now you people can truly enjoy the spectacular hight of this mech without being shrunk to minifig size.

The "Rear" of the mech. Did I mention this thing was the biggest pain in the arse that I have ever experienced?

As you can observe, there is heavy armor underneath the legs to prevent angry citizens and soldiers from damaging them.

When you think about it, the Predator reminds you of something from outer space. But this time, I don't think the Governator would have had the chance to shout, "GET TO THE CHOPPA!"

These next few shots are to demonstrate the capabilities of the cockpit. Here we start out with a normal straight position.

Next, we rotate the cockpit left.

Finally, we rotate it right. The cockpit was based off of Cody G's from the N.E.O.S. Voyager. The underside is also armored to prevent unseen shots from killing the pilot, which, of course, is Keith. His mission, blow up all of Andrew's bathrooms.

And what mech would be without legs and feet? This bad boy is got a reputation for stomping on enemies, and also for being 10 times the fat blob jumper that sent you high into the air that one time at summer camp. The feet were also an idea modified from Cody G.'s.

The side of the legs. Always, my kind commentators, constructive criticism is welcome.

Wow, I just realized how blurry that was. This definitely going to degrade me, but I already put away the set up, and it would take me too long to take this shot again. Anyway, this is the "Scout" anti infantry and light-medium vehicle weapon. It has a double barreled heavy machine gun on the bottom for dispersing infantry, and a good sized grenade launcher for blowing those pesky light tanks into the air.

Here we have eight red anti-ground missiles, and 8 blue anti-air missiles. They like to make things go Boom. Man, I steal so much from Cody, it's not even funny. This is another modified Idea of Cody G.'s.

Here we have perhaps the most powerful weapon, the four-barreled long range howitzers. Why four you ask? Because more is more. These are especially good for blowing almost anything into the air, and causing those hollywood-style helicopter explosions. Oh, and for destroying even Andrew Somers's underground bathrooms.

And of course, we have a rail gun and two super cool looking missiles. This rail gun is useful for blowing up almost anything, but it likes to explode artillery trucks. These two Missiles don't quite have a name yet, so I give them anti-everything missiles. I mean anti everything. They love intercepting cruise missiles, but they are useful in destroying a whole front line of attack. I think the rail gun was Cody G.'s idea too, but again I modified it.

A shot of the Predator on the move.

Another problem is that when walking, the mech became sort of unstable, as you can somewhat see in the photo. I'm sure that was due to the un-balanced front end.

Here you see more details of the cockpit, and there are two double barreled grenade launchers on each side of the nose, as well as two red lights on the end.

This is the downside, for although the cockpit was able to open from the sides, the top just wouldn't. So the only way for Keith to get out is to crawl out the sides or have the top removed. But, he does have a little computer screen for all the stats, and is preloaded with shoot 'em up games that help him get prepared before a real skirmish. Or while he's waiting in line at In-n-Out... He's got some nifty little hand controllers too.

These next two shots show the mobility of the anti-ground missiles.

That's right, they can tilt backwards just because they can.

I wonder if Keith special requested the cockpit to have that mobility just for fun...

This is my favorite shot, for it shows the bulk of the Predator.
-----Shots with a White Background-----

Oh, hi Keith.

Keith and his new toy.

Don't get on their bad side... Offer them each a cinnabon cinnamon roll instead, and you might get away with just a shaved head.
Fourth Wall Rambles:
Comment. I want to know what you think, because this is the best thing I have built to date, in my opinion. If you think otherwise, please tell me. Oh, and I'm going to be having my fifteenth birthday some time next week! I feel so old... Birthday mocs and money are welcome. The latter is preferred.

Or give him a Klondike bar. Anyway, WOAH!!! A PURPLE BACKGROUND!!! Sorry, I've never seen one before. But how did you retain the shadows through GIMPing it? (I use GIMP too.) Did you handpick different shades for the shadows? That must have been a pain in the.... let's skip that, if that was what you did. On the build, that is some awesome work! I will definitely carry a lot of Klondike bars if those were real. |

Nice biped! The head is definitely the centerpiece. Also, the multitude of weapons is seriously cool. Congrats on pulling off a larger MOC; a walker is definitely a tough genre to take that leap with. Yes, it was definitely a difficult project, but I'm pleased with the results. Thank you for your comment. |

Great job!
I really like your cockpit design and the bajillion and three weapons! However, there's one tiny thing that bothers me: Would it be possible to set the head a little further back? It seems too far forward, but that's just me being overly critical. This is a lovely mecha and it earns my stamp of approval! Thank you, and yes, I did think it stuck out a bit too far, but I don't know how to fix that. I will definitely keep that in mind next time. And I love stamps of approval, they are very flavorful and yummy to eat. |

Wow! What a highly skilled build! This truly is an awesome sight. Loving those beefy legs and the triple cab. You've made it appear so smooth and curvy, really really well designed Waf. Oh and happy birthday for next week! Fifteen?! You feel old?! Boy I don't even remember being 15 I'm that old! BTW, based on your builds and level of maturity around these pages I assumed you were much older than that, maybe 17/18. Nope, just 14. I will definitely feel old when I can't remember being 15... And for the latter of your comment, that is a really high compliment, I'm flattered. |

Nice! I really can't do sci-fi and I have a great respect for those that do. I tried to make a lot of mechs and chickenwalkers for my Robots book but I gave up after failing miserably and decided to go all "Jetsons" instead. :) I definitely like the cockpit design here; it's one I've not seen before, and I have no idea how you keep it from toppling over under its own weight. :) Thank you so much Mr. Sean Kenney, this means a lot to me. Oh, and the Jetsons are really nice too. Keeping it from toppling over was a challenge, but I finally solved over time. |

Cockpit: Good. Love the rotating idea.
Front end: Your right, sticks out kinda far, but it's unique and that's a big win.
Feet: A little small, but still a solid addition to the creation.
Firepower: Enough, but not too much.
Legs: A little rough and chunky, but they look like they could hold 'er up, and that's important.
Rear side: Like it.
Bulkiness: Way too cool!
All in all, a good, solid mech with some nice new ideas (at least rarely used ones). Keep 'em comin' Waff! Thank you, I appreciate it. I will have to work on some of it to make it better, but hey, try try again! Thanks again. |
