The Great Moon War
Basically my version of Shannon Ocean's Battle for the Moon! http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/132861 Link to it.
About this creation
The year is 1916 Adolf Hitler is killed in action, preventing WW2, opening up a window of opportunity for technological advancement. one of the goals was to get into space, the Russians started on it first, with the worlds first satellite, Sputnik,To put into space, upon entry into the Earth's atmosphere Sputnik had a catastrophic failure, exploding into a fireball and crashing onto Russian city's. During the Russian failure America Launched the first man into space, the following years are only basic satellite's and few Maned launches. 1949 The US set's it's sites on the Moon, As well as the Soviet Union, Both Prepare to Launch there rockets to the Moon, Around September 1949 Both World Super Power's launch there rockets to the moon, Awhile after the launch both US and Russian rockets make it to the moon, planing to land around the same spot both rockets deploy there landing pods and land not to far away from each other, witch will be a grave mistake, arguing between the Astronauts and the Cosmonauts about who landed first turn's in to fighting, the first casualty starts when a Cosmonaut pushes a Astronaut down, and the sharp moon rock punctures the suite, Sparking The Great Moon War in 1950.

The American 473 Assault Robot.

The 473 Assault Robot was made for large assaults, And can be used as a command center because of the HUGE computer on it.

It is 1 maned with the computer taking up most of it.

The cockpit.

Russian Spatnik Artillery Station. A Marvell of Soviet technology that made long rang combat on the moon, possible.

The piston like legs.

The artillery cannon.

The ruby coated lens.

American Guard Bot. One of the MOST used robots during The Great Moon War.

Armed with a 565 Laser Gun...

And a grenade.

The cockpit is pretty basic with computers on both sides of the pilot.

Russian Sputnik Instant Command Post. Named after the Russian Failure. Made so you could just launch it on to the Moon surface and re-supply Soviet troops, aided by one drawback, once launched on the the Moon, it's stuck there so if American troops take the Soviet position they have access to Soviet Intel.

It includes a standard rifle and a heavy MG.

Russian Lunokhod Rover. Quote from American Soldier: " It seemed like a pretty easy kill in the briefing room, that was until 20 of them are charging at you."

The Lunokhod Has 2 cannons, and is powered by the sun, making it useless at night.

American A64 Defense Robot. A light Robot used for quick raids and defense.

Ford Moon Transport. Developed for Transport across the Moon.

One of the best part about it is that you can live in it!

The Mg.

The opening back.

The inside is large so you could add a lot of stuff.

Russian STR1 defense Bot.

Seeing the success of the US's A64 Defense Robot, how could they resist.

Russian Spiknik Guard Bot. The MOST successful Russian Robot, included on Multiple Propaganda posters.

Armed ONLY with a heavy Laser Cannon.

The cockpit is basic with the controls and the computers on the sides.

American A47 Destroyer Bot. One of thous designs that did not make it in to extensive use, mainly because of the many technical parts.

The main weapon is an standard Laser Blaster.

Also a Plasma Gun.

The Cockpit is made so the computers stick out of the body.

The war is ongoing and is almost over, treaty's are being made to give half the Moon to Russia, and half to America, adding a 51rst state to the US flag.

Quoting Deus Slayer The things look really like early future robots but i pesonally don't belive that with such designs they could have plasma guns and laser blasters. Overall I like the idea.
Well this is an altered time-line...
