I rarely watch television, but last fall and winter I got hooked on HBO's "The Wire" via Netflix. (I don't have cable). I was really inspired by the urban grit portrayed and decided to build some Baltimore style row houses. I also brought these (along with my 3 Floor walk-up) to Bricks By The Bay in SF last spring. I am happy with the results I was able to attain.

Jonathan, this is another great derelict set of buildings. The tile technique on the front of two of them is perfect! Regards, Eric. |

And Homicide: Life of the Streets--another classic Baltimore cop show. Nice work. |

This is great! You really captured their look perfectly. I'd recommend maybe some slight variations on the front of the houses, as they usually don't all look exaclty alike, but other than that, it's very nicely done. Keep it up! -Drew |

I live in Baltimore, and have made some East Baltimore row homes, plus I'm a fan of yours.
This really captured my interest. YOu did a good job, capturing the uneven formstone is something I never thought to do, and will be borrowing.
The only thing I can say that was off at all is the uniformness of the fire escapes; That's a New york thing. Baltimore ones are always a crazy patchwork, and some are even made out of falling apart wood. |
