I visited Sean Kenney for an open studio event a while ago and noticed a rough looking building on the corner near his studio. A few months later while working on a project with Sean we were walking to lunch and I took stronger note of it. I just HAD to attempt to build it.
These are the results.

Wow! I love the details!! |

This is awesome work... you know I'll be stealing ideas from it! |

Great as usual. Trouble with all these disused buildings is that there's nowhere for your figs to work and live! Oh, and it is a 1/5th stud offset |

Jonathan, this is one beautifully done derelict building! You display so many amazing techniques in one MOC. The broken windows are such a nice touch! Regards, Eric. |

OK, bloody stunning creation. I have one question, on the back, the bit that looks like the brick work is falling apart, how did you do that? The indented part is so close to the outside wall, I can't figure that out and it looks great! thanks! The indented part is tiles on one layer of plates affixed to 1x4 brick with 4 studs on the side. The 1x4 brick they're affixed to is inset one stud. |

Man, people are going to wonder what kind of neighborhood I work in. :) Nice job! I love the cornice... And that chipped away concrete in the back is superb!! (Is that a fifth-stud offset?) thanks, Sean! The chipped concrete is tiles on one layer of plates affixed to 1x4 brick with 4 studs on the side. Not sure of the math equating to fifth stud or not. |
