Wow that's really impressive. Very realistic. Being from the Detroit area I like to think I have special perspective on the run down, abandoned, slow death of what was once a thriving vibrant family home.
Not sure if you've visited Detroit, but if your doing a study, this is certainly the place. If you survive the research that is. |

These projects show a level of skill, discipline, and artistic talent that inspire and humble at the same time. Your houses illustrate Lego possibilities that I would never have imagined been able to imagine previously. I don’t even think about Lego when I look at them. I think about old houses (and what they must have looked like new). Really great work! Attack! |

Hey Mike did you paint any of the bricks? In some of the pics (like the door) they look like they are, but I can't tell if that's just lighting or if the bricks are painted. Just curious. Hey the Victorian looks awesome! Can't wait to see that one all completed. Cheers!
Thanks Rocky! No paint, I think just reflections you are seeing. When building I don't use any foreign materials. As for Victorian, I just finished it a few days agp and am working with the photo now. Should have that up in a day or two. Thanks for the interest!

Logged into my dusty MOCpages account just to comment. This is absolutely phenomenal! The textures, colours (overal lack thereof) and emotion are brilliant.
Oddly enough something that really stands out to me is the 1x2 brick-stacked... bricks around the upper right window. The use of what appears to be differently weathered bricks as well as not seeming to be quite pushed together really click (pardon the pun).
Really looking forward to future entries in this series. |

Amazing detail. Took a second for me to realize the scale of the house and all of the details. Keep it up! |

I gotta admit, when I saw this I had two thoughts enter my mind. The first was "small scale with white powder used to created snow effect" and "too good for a first-timer, must be stolen". But after looking closely at the (sadly, only one) picture, I can see that it is indeed done entirely with bricks and plates, and does not use any non-LEGO elements (that I can see). I also see that your blog has a WIP photo, and that it is actually yours. So, thank you for dispelling two erroneous snap judgements. |

Could you do me two tremendous favors? First, more pictures so I can absorb all the fantastic amazingness of this build. Second, more creations, so I can gape at your beautiful building skills. Third,...wait, I only asked for two... In all seriousness! What a great early build! I'm so glad to see you on Mocpages, and greatly look forward to more of your creations in the future. In summary, when I first saw the picture, I was confident it was real and not made from Lego. You are amazing! |
