Sept 17, 1944.
We have entered Eindhoven escorted by Elena Parker, whom I havnt seen or heard from in years. So far the operation has gone off with out a hitch, but I fear that is about to change.
About this creation
When we arrived in Eindhoven the Dutch had come out to greet me and my men as their liberators. And of course there was Elena. The last time i saw her was when I had left for West Point and since then I had only heard once from her, when I had volunteered for the paratroopers.
Lt. John Harland: Elena whats goin' on here? Last I knew you were a reporter down in Murphy, and now you're in Holland?
Elena Parker: I'm still a reporter, but listen, John there's no time to catch up on whats been happening. I'll explain it all later, but now you have to come with me.
Hans Muller: Hello Lieutenant. My name is Hans Muller I'm the leader of the dutch resistance in the area. I can see you have already met Miss Parker.
Lt. John Harland: I have Mr. Muller, but I need to know what the Germans have planned for us up the road.
Hans Muller: Unfortunately the nazis have been unusually tidy about their operations in this area. Come with me I can show you what we do have.
Lt. John Harland: What happened to her?
Elena Parker: She slept with the germans and was a spy for them. She got alot of good men killed.
Lt. John Harland: Huh? What is it? What do you need soldier?
Sgt Glenn Streeter: Sir, Commander Taylor needs to talk with the Fox company Commanding Officer.
Lt. John Harland: Captain Lewis isn't here. I'll talk to him.
Sgt. Glenn Streeter: Yes, sir!
Commander Michael Taylor: Hello, leftenant. Sergent I thought I had told you to get the commanding officer not the executive officer.
Lt. John Harland: In Captain Lewis' absence I am the acting commander of Fox Company, sir.
Commander Michael Taylor: Very well. Listen here Harland, we are in Eindhoven, we need to take the highway between here and Neunen and keep it open to supply the rest of this operation.
Elena Parker: There's no way this will work you cant supply an operation this massive this way.
Lt. John Harland: Elena not now. What about armor support?
Commander Michael Taylor: My tanks are spread out enough as it is. We can support Able Dog and Easy Companies. However Fox will be on its own however we will provide you with additional infantry. Besides that the German presence is mostly teenagers and old men.
Elena Parker:You're leaving them unprotected out there. You have no idea how strong the germans are out here!
Commander Michael Taylor: Very bold ma'am. However you are neither a soldier nor an inhabitant. If you speak up one more time you shall either be removed or gagged. Am I clear?
Elena Parker: Perfectly.
Commander Michael Taylor: We are not unaware of the risks. Never the less we are going ahead with the plan. Leftenant, I want your men ready to march as soon as possible understand?
Lt. John Harland: Yes, sir.

notes: Specially made for all you U.K. people who love to complain that I didnt make a series about the British in WWII. Well you know what?? I'M AMERICAN!! Dont be surprised when I make comics about AMERICANS!! I you want to show the greatness of the 6th Airborne make your own comic! Any way I'm kinda glad I put Elena in after all she'll be an excellent way to give Harland a personality.
