This is my first custom build in more than 20 years. I loved the Republic Gunship and finally got it, but I hate lime green and some of the crazy colors they used. I made some minor changes based on my ideas and some of what I had seen others do. My next project is a Republic Dropship which I ordered all the pieces for. I will not build the walker but a custom platform that holds 4 smaller vehicles.

About this creation

Got rid of the green

No big changes to the cockpit.

Added some guns and better trim.

Reworked the interior to add more floor space, but keep the speeder bike.

Moved the weapons rack and closed up most of the wall.

Added a light.

Here are the pieces I replaced.

You're not alone. There's supposedly tens of thousands of us Adult Fans Of Lego (AFOL) out there getting back into Lego for one reason or another. Just enjoy it for what it's worth. After all it's the best form of therapy I know!
