Order 66: Assassination
A clone commander kills his Jedi general when the Emperor puts into effect Order 66.
About this creation
A clone commander on Coruscant has recieved a hologram from the Emperor stating Order 66 has been put into immediate effect. So, as his Jedi general prepares to fly to the Jedi Temple in his Interceptor, the clone places a thermal detonater inside the cockpit, setting it off when the traitor is about to take off from the landing platform.

I managed to build this thing in about four days. I also plan on improving this in a later version....

Overview of the assassination and landing platform that is supposed to be attached to some random building on Coruscant.

Here, you can see that the platform was damaged during the Battle of Coruscant. Before the battle for the capital, there were two turrets (thanks for pointing out the spelling mistake, Seba 719) on the platform.

ha ha 3/4 of teh way done

   Sorry for the blurry picture.

The loyal commander looks upon the destruction he has wrought.

On the left is some refueling thingy, and the right is a control panel for a door that I couldn't work out by the time I took these pictures.

I wanted to have some sort of Republic emblem somewhere, so I put it ot the beginning of the walkway that leads to the building.

Another picture of the CIS-caused damage.

I got the explosion idea from this vignette, and I think it turned out pretty well.

   Look out, little pilot!

   What remains of the cockpit.

Here is the platform without the exploding Interceptor. I was hoping to have "42" (after all, it IS the answer ;)) as a platform number, but I didn't have enough yellow, so I opted for "47" instead

Here's a nifty little turret I made to shoot down CIS craft.

Blurry shot of more turret detail.

   The chair...

   ...can lower itself...

   ...so the gunner...

...can get out. It even has a step! OMG.

   Detail of the chair.

What happened to the other turret....

Yes, this is the actual bottom. It would have looked nicer, but I had very few grey plates to start this anyway. :,(

to make it say "42", you could make a hole at the bottom of the 7 so it would say "42" before the CIS damaged it during the war.

Just for the awesome "explosion" effect with all those pieces, this deserves a 5/5! Though, a bit more work on the baseplate could be done, like elevating the landing pad a bit, making it more visible for the cannon :) Looking forward for a V2 on this.. Congrats

Very cool exept you should work on your landing bay a little. Example: take that Republic Insigna off of the walkway. Because if its on some distant planet not in the republic like I dunno Tatooine they wouldn't just give the rights of their landing bay to the republic. (I'm not saying it is tatooine.) Other than that excellent

Cool. The explosion is neat, and I like the turret. Nice Hitchhikers Guide reference, maybe you can save platform 42 for something more universally important than a jedi getting blown up...

LOL!!!!! I love the explosion. I use the same manuver to make baseplates. Oh and cool reference to the hitch-hiker's guide to the galaxy. ( I love that film)

Awesome job! The trans plates for still-life explosion is a nifty new technique, and you've seemlessly incorporated it well into the scene. The positioning of the individual explosion elements is great and spot-on.

Idea, excellent. Building... well, pretty good. The explosion is pretty stinkin' good, but everything else... eh, okay. Great job, Darth!

Lol! That's awesome! I love the explosion... very innovative. I like how you shaped the landing pad and showed the damage. You did a great job. Maybe you should try sticking randomized body parts around the scene. ;-)

Hmm, some parts such as the landing platform entrance & turret seem pretty minimal, but the explosion is a really neat idea. The side panel flying off is a great detail...there's something cool about blowing things up, you know?
