Bringing a chilling sense of foreboding, the Mysterion Carrier approaches! Beware!
About this creation
Object 991 (nanoscale)

Reports from doomed battleships described this class of Mysterion for some time, but only recently UMRCscouts were able to gather substantial data about it.

Of course "substantial" is a relative term when dealing with Mysterions...
All that could be determined is that this huge craft seems to be controlled by a large canopy on its front, called main bridge for the lack of a better term.

It is still unclear whether it deploys, spawns or warps all the Mysterion crafts that continuously emerge from its reflective black surface.

Current hypothesys involve the Carrier being a tesseract, in fact larger inside than outside, storing massive foces. Or maybe it's a mobile warp portal. Possibly a living, infesting craft.

It's armed (at least) with 18 MALE cannons (Mysterion Arc Lighting Emitters), each capable of marking and striking down several targets simultaneously. We are unaware of further weaponry, but the ship is known to be capable of ramming another vessel of comparable size with no visible damage to its surface.

We presume the "tentacles" on the aft are not a propulsion system.

All Mysterion objects emerge only as canopies with no kind of device attached (still capable of indepent flight). (scale reference: 1/6 fig size)

Only after they pass through the "tentacles" do the mysterions emerge with their full equipment.

Object 994 (classic style Mysterion, fig scale)

As we said, after a pass among the tendrils a Mysterion canopy emerges with all its devices atached.

Of course this knowledge offers no clue about HWAT these arrays are for, if not for direct experience.

Object 994 is in fact a fighter type. Its 4 "lights" are weapons capable of firing without mechanical aim, and it can phase out to avoid incoming fire.

Oddly enough, while the same kind of object has been seen emerging from different carriers, no carrier has been seen deploying 2 objects of the same type.

-End of transmission-
Note #1: This MOC was built for the "Mysterion Battleship" contest hosted in the "Mysterion Lovers" group.
There's still time to join!
Note #2: Random Mysterions in the main picture are taken from my "Mysterions!" folder.
Note #3: Mysterions are a theme created by the ever impressive Shannon Ocean.
YAY MYSTERIONS!

Great stuff Yuri! Love how you're mixing Mysterions with thin ships! Maybe a Mysterion/aquastlenaut crossover in the future since you're mixing themes and all...? ~ Chris. |

Great new idea! Something new mysterio(n)us! BTW: Sounds like you are shocked that I failed... No hard feelings, but the side games have not the same charme like the official games. In addition I'm make holidays next week - Nevertheless, thanks for your asking! - Kevin |

Very nice, I like it's sting ray-like shape and the tentacles, good job on object 994 as well (I really should learn some more about these mysterions)

I think I'll have to make on of these things. I have some neat colored bricks for canopies now
You can take the chance now. The contest's deadline is Oct 10th, and it's not like Mysterions require much time or nifty techniques, only imagination. http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=3526&topicid=54630 |

You, sir, make Mysterions mysterious. You know exactly how much strange information to give and how much to keep secret. Also, the designs are excellent, as always, and of course the concepts are brilliant.
Best comment today. I always put a good effort in "making Mysterions mysterious", I'm glad to see it's appreciated :) |

that's not a vessel, it's actually an alien life form, mass producing Mysterion vessels for the bigger plan, universal domination and flatulation issues. or maybe it's just a carrier, heck, I don't know... |
