In my series of postal vehicles, a truck as used in regional shipments.
About this creation
I recently created a file in the LDraw format of this 6-wide United States Postal Service Truck and had to do it again when I corrupted the file. I can say with some authority, then, as I have deconstructed and reconstructed this vehicle twice, that there is only one hidden piece. That is, there is only one piece that does not contribute to the external appearance. There’s a 4274 Technic Pin 1/2 on the inside of a Technic brick holding a 4073 Plate 1×1 Round. This creation received a certificate in the train room award program at BrickFest™ 2002.
The United States Postal Service logo on the sides of the truck is not a product of LEGO®. I took a photograph of the side of a local mailbox with a digital camera, imported the JPEG file into CorelDraw 10, drew shapes and curves atop the bitmap to match, deleted the bitmap, and printed to a photo-glossy sticker sheet.
File in LDraw format available in my folder at Brickshelf.
