With the Toa gathered, The mysterious Toa of Time explains why they are needed.

About this creation

The six toa stared in awe at the Toa of Time, covered in magnificent gold armor.
Tahu: What do you mean a critical situation? This is about Nektann, right?
Toa of Time: Yes, but I now see this will take a bit longer than I thought. Tahu, can you make a shield around us?
Tahu: Sure.
With that, the Toa of Time stuck his hand out of the newly created shield.
Gold light came over everything, and everyone in the shield was forced to close their eyes. When it was over, everything outside of the shield completely stopped.
Jehoshua: Did you just...
Toa of Time: Yes. We have been frozen in time, so I have all the time in the world to explain. I am a secret member of the Order of Mata Nui. Only Toa Helryx knows of my existence and status in the order. I have sensed a disturbance in time and saw Toa Amtrox follow Nektann through the portal. I knew what had to be done, so I summoned you all here to stop Nektann and whatever “friends” he has with him.
Singe: But why us? We barely know each other and you think we are just going to poof into some great team?
Toa of Time: No. It was the will of the Great Beings to bring you here, just as it was the will of the Great Beings for Lhikahn to bring toa stones to their rightful owners.
Komart: What?
Tahu: Um.. I don’t think that was a very good comparison seeing as I’m the only one who has heard of them before.
Toa of Time: Oh, right. But no matter, you have been chosen to stop Nektann, and that’s what I hope you all can do. It wouldn’t look good if one of you died in here and left no actual legacy besides the fact you mysteriously disappeared.
Amtrox: You’re right about that. I have a question, though. Which of us shall lead the team?
Toa of Time: I believe that you must, Amtrox. This was your fight, so you must unite these heroes.

Singe: What? This is ridiculous!
Aquara: I have to agree, I’m not willing to take orders from some Toa of Earth I’ve never even known.
With that, Komart, Singe, and Aquara all started walking away in different directions.
Tahu: No!
A shield immediately stopped all three straying toa.
Jehoshua: I think fire-spitter here is correct-right. How else will we return to our original times?

Komart and Aquara realized he was right, and returned to the group. Singe, a loner, knew he had no other choice than to return, but didn’t like this matter one bit.
Singe: Fine, but when I kick those monsters butts, I better be the first to get back home.
Toa of Time: Good. I’m sorry, but I must leave you for the time being, but you will all get back home when I return to your victory. Remember, you all our nothing if you don’t work together. Farewell.
The Toa’s mask glowed brightly as his body faded away...
