After long nights and several bricklink orders I'm back, With a series of World War 2 era vehicles.

About this creation

I have been pretty inactive on MOC pages over the summer, The reason for this is that I've been working and helping the folks over at monitogo studios with the lego stop motion Zathan and Nathan. After reorganizing my lego collection I set out to design and build the most realistic ww2 era models out there. So here is the Second, the 1942 Dodge WC-54 Field Ambulance.

This Ambulance was my second build after the GMC Deuce and a half. Fenders have always been a big deal to me, especially in WW2 vehicles, so I spent a lot of time on the front portion of the vehicle. Once I Had that it was all down hill from there.

The dimensions of the Ambulance are 7 studs wide, (not including the mirror) 19 studs long and about 8 studs tall.

The back took some work, but I was able to make the door fit into the vehicle quite nicely. Also notice the step.

Realism was a driving force in making the Ambulance, also it was a lot of fun. I looked at a lot of pictures to get every thing right, one thing I wanted was to seat two mini figs in the cab.

One mini fig can fit in the back, as demonstrated here.

That is one cool vehicle right there! It must have been hard to build, especially since the engine part is three studs wide in the front! The great photography work only adds to the awesome-ness of that MOC! Great work!

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 a really nice ambulance,i m just not sure about the wheels though,they seem a little too big! also,coul dt you use just one hinge on the back doors? it seems like it could have looked better without the grey beams,in no way those make it look bad,it s just that it s so near perfection,i had to mention it! very good work! i love it! animation project? you lucky guys! hope i can see that! i love the concept! can you give me infos so i don t miss it? if so,comment it on my page please! i can t wait to see it!

The wheels are a little too big, but the next size down were too small and didn't look very good. As for the doors one hing (which may have looked better) just didn't have the stability I wanted. Thanks for the comment dude. =)

Quoting Wes Pitter Nicely done. For myself, I'd love to see it all in one gray, but the differences give it a nice weathered look.

Unfortunately some pieces only come in one color, and other pieces I couldn't get my hands on. =( So I had to settle on these.
